I've been told that, and I've also been told not that. I haven't seen good research to suggest that either way is better, myself. Not much choice for now, unfortunately.

Meh, as long as you don't store it that way long term... it's fine.

BTW... This is STILL on tap at Chicago House and there's another tapping at Banger's tonight... and I could've probably picked up 3 cases at this point... if you haven't bought/drank this yet, I do not pity you.

I think I've heard somewhere that beers stored on their side have more surface area "exposed" as opposed to upright storage.

Anyone in ATX willing to let go of a bottle of Sucaba? I have some 2011 Abyss ready to drink and other goodies in my stash.

I've heard lots of times to not do it. I listen.

That said, I get the space thing, but I also don't store most of my beer in the Fridge. Even with a dedicated fridge I have way too many bottles for that. I store them in dark places that don't get too warm.

As Seth said when asked about aging beers on their side: " if its good enough for Cantillon its good enough for me"

I guess I don't trust other places not to get too hot :slight_frown:. I'll get a better solution in the not too distant future.

How the hell is there still Parabola left at Chicago House?!? Even though they were only doing 5oz pours, they were doing it at a very good price, and you can get multiples. If I had the time, I'd still be sitting there drinking it.

All of the north Austin HEBs should have gotten their Parabola this morning. McNeil/Parmer has them at customer service, 2 per. 1431/Parmer has the case on the floor, and it's half gone.

Dang I doubt the 1431/Parmer HEB will still have any left by the time I can get out work. Guess I'll see if I can check the HEB off of Far West or Braker/183 during my lunch break.

And that makes 8, thanks to Parmer/McNeil. I'm glad that that's over, and I'm really glad that it wasn't anything like the KBS launch. Now I take a nap.

I've gotta note, too, that at DH it was only $6/8oz, but it went quick. I only got one pour :slight_frown:.

That's pretty quick for parabola at DH. I guess they didn't as much as they did for the KBS tapping cause I got multiple of those.

I'm not sure when they tapped it, actually. I've been feeling a bit meh lately (too much drinking and waking up early to hunt), so I didn't go there until about 8:30. I know that KBS went in about 3 hours, but I was sitting at the bar when they tapped it and had 3 pours.
