Wait, there's still fucking Sucaba at Hopfields?! I went to check for BB3 earlier, they were out, and I left! Going back tomorrow for sure.

Yeah they had Sucaba, Velvet Merlin, and DBA. Sucaba was $6 for 6oz. or $12 for 12oz. Velvet Merlin was $6 for a pint (and well worth it).

I'd expect that there are still some Parabola's out there. I just got a tip that SUCABA might even be at a certain grocery store. I've got a friend headed there now and I'll post if there are any left.

Edit: 1 Sucaba left at HEB Riverside

I got tipped off that there were 6 bottles left around 8 PM. When my roommate arrived, there were 3. He grabbed 2 of those.

I may trade my other one out as well, Lots of liquorice in this one and it packs a punch. How does this do with a bit of age on it?

Scared me with the Liquorice part as I hate that flav, so I opened up one just now (yeah never got time till now)... but I don't pick it up so lucky me. Ahhh!! Goodness with every sip here.

I didn't get any liquorice either, FWIW. Maybe I wasn't looking for it, but I typically don't like it at all in my beers, and I loved Parabola.

I hate the shit out of licorice. I didn't pick any up in Parabola either. Selective palate FTW.

I do too, but I think it works very well in Abyss. It helps cut some of the sweetness. Haven't had a Parabola yet, so we'll see.

I hate liquorice candy with a passion, but I'm not picking up on it in Parabola which I'm finishing off right now. Bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, figs, coffee, wood, caramel from the malt, etc. It's delicious, better than this year's KBS, but I still prefer 2011 Abyss. I'll age out my second bottle of Parabola for a year or two and compare back to back with 2012 Abyss.

Glad I was able to pick up a few bottle of Parabola and Sucaba for myself and others who missed the boat. Sucaba is next on the menu.

Looking forward to the Sucaba review. My Parabola and Sucaba are scheduled for this weekends consumption.

Just finished one of my 2013's. I was getting concerned by alot of the comments I've read. I thought it was great. Definitely more hoppy than I remember the 2012 being. 2011 is still my favorite batch yet though.

That being said, doesn't come close to BCBS IMO.
