Parabola

Plano Central Market is sold out, Specs West Plano had it at lunchtime,
Whole Foods Plano getting it tomorrow.
Kegs and Barrels Plano got it yesterday.

 

This years Parabola is by far the best yet. So rich, and so drinkable. And its back to 13%.
Had '12 and '13 on tap side by side. Blows '12 out of the water.

 

Yeah, I was told May 1 for smaller accounts (Whip In, Sunrise, E1G) and a day or 2 later for everyone else.

 

Now, the question is how many to buy...

 

All of it!

 

Heard next Andrews drop for most stores in FW FWIW. Big specs thought that would be next Wednesday.

 

If they make 3500 total cases, how is it that Texas only gets 50 (per FW rep) I'm so sick of chasing these down, everyone sold out in like 15 minutes.

 

50 for all of TX? I was told Austin was getting 60......

 

Yea I heard 60 cases for Austin alone...

 

Specs at walnut was out by the time I got there. I figured I didn't have a chance.

 

That might be the number that Andrews is getting... different distro in ATX (Brown).

 

Still no word of when FSW will be hitting Houston.

 

I heard it would be this fall from David Walker.

 

At least we are 1/2 way their. Oh well.

 

I am moving from Fort Worth to Houston this summer. I am going to do some house hunting in May. I can bring whatever FSW beers available here if you guys need. Double Jack, Wookey Jack, Reserve, Union Jack, Double Barrel, and Pale 31 are easy to find here. Just let me know

I hope some of you folks driving all over DFW and not being able to find it were able to get up to Denton tonight. The Oak Street Draft House had Parabola on tap. They tapped it tonight, at 8. ( It was posted in this thread a few days ago. )

I was up there, expecting a big line or a huge crowd of Parabola seekers...place was packed...but almost no one was drinking Parabola. ( I actually heard "What's that?" ) I had 3 pours, on tap, and needless to say, it was fantastic.

John, the owner, came out and hung out with us for a while, also drinking Parabola.

One of my favorite beers, have had two prior vintages including 2010, and 2012. The 2012 was aged a year, I just had it last week...and this 2013 on tap was equally as good, maybe more so. An awesome, awesome beer if you're an imperial stout fan.

12 months in barrels this vintage, as well. I did score a bottle, too, will probably put that away for a while.

But really, all this driving, all this hunting...if you're already driving across town, why not head up to Denton and have it on tap? No line, no waiting, no fuss...just beautiful, delicious Parabola on tap.

An amazing thing when we're getting Parabola on tap here in Texas...and a little odd when almost no one shows up to drink it.

Anyway, there's plenty left tonight if you get a chance to cruise by and have some. I was told a total of 7 Kegs for DFW, so a few other pubs will put it on tap as well. But most of them will likely have big crowds or blow the whole keg in 30 minutes.

But, at least as of tonight, it's there on tap in Denton if you want it.

Go drink some.

 

Grab some on Tap if you get the chance. Oak St Drafthouse tapped it tonight at 8, and hardly anyone was drinking it, lol.

 

Good to hear this was on tap in Denton. I hope there's a tapping around here in ATX on my day off. I will drink it till I burst or fall over.
