I saw a post on the Tired Hands instagram today:

"Bottling the first run of our Future Rustic contract brewed Ale from @ParageusiaAles"

Any more info about this? I've googled and can't find anything.

Seems so crazy they would give up production space when they are so tight as it is.
I mean, what could possibly be so special about this Christian dude?

Aren't they starting to brew at a new sight down the road now?

They just started demolition work over the last few weeks. It will be months before they are in the new space brewing.

I was under the impression that this was a collaboration of sorts. They keep calling it OUR Future Rustic, like they're part of the brewing process. My guess is that they found someone willing to work the bottling line for days on end for very little money, so they're letting him have a hand in brewing some beers for bottling. Otherwise, this makes no sense to me. And it's bizarre that there's no real information out there about this.

They told the guy that he was allowed to fill non-TH growlers if he bottled all their beers.

So, there has been a second bottling apparently. Does anyone know ANYTHING about this and if the beers are for sale anywhere, or is this just an ambitious homebrewer paying to brew on their system?

I know that some will be for sale at their anniversary. I don't know if its in bottles or on tap though.

Parageusia will be hosting a "pop-up" bar at our Second Anniversary Celebration! The talented Future Rustic contract-brewer, Christian Zellersfield, will be sending a representative to transform a section of our second floor into a Parageusia bar for the day. He plans to tap both Parageusia1 AS WELL AS Parageusia2 (a surprise that we did not see coming!). Both beers are Cabernet Franc barrel fermented Ales of varying strength that we brewed to his exact specifications.

He mentioned something about having special glassware, printed with precious metals (?), on hand for the occasion. We will let you know more when we know more. This should be a great addition to our Anniversary Celebration.

Does anyone know if the internet rumors of Jean using an alias to brew these beers hold any water? Fan boi's are actually trying to track down a Christian Zellersfield to no avail.

So they brewed the beers, and this guy was willing to bottle them, probably for free. Hell, it sounds like he may have even paid them a tidy sum.

Now that I think about it, this makes more sense. This would be his first time for his beers to be sold to the public, and he's not going to show up? Something is indeed fishy here.

This is ridiculous. The concept of it, not what you are saying here. Silly, just silly. But sounds ENTIRELY possible.

The hardcore Tired Hands heads seem fairly certain this Christian fellow is indeed Jean, and I'm inclined to believe them, given the absence of any info on him and the "pop-up" Para bar upstairs for the second anniversary party. Either way, June 1 is gonna kick major ass.

Word thru the grapevine is that Jean was also Andy Kaufman. And Elvis. He's a mysterious man, this Jean.

Seems entirely possible. I really like that their one and only photo on Instagram from Parageusia Ales looks exactly like something Jean drew. Makes me even more inclined to believe it is him behind it.

I think perhaps Christian Zellersfield is Jean's Tyler Durden.

FWIW, Parageusia is a registered brand with the state by Tired Hands. Not sure that tells us anything other than it's "real"/legal to sell. Not sure how contract brews would be registered so I don't think it's that interesting that there is no reference to Future Rustic in that database.
