Hi everyone. Unsure if anyone has party pigs (google it if need be), but have a problem: Wasn't thinking properly when I put together my last pig and forgot to install the regulator piece that fits on the inside of the snout. Bag is already cracked, so I'm thinking I may be doomed to my homebrew shooting out the pig at warp speed. My only thought to fix the situation would be to carefully freeze the beer in the pig to be able to open and then i can install and reattach snout... good idea / bad idea / other ideas?
Well if you freeze it will expand, do you have the room to do this inside the pig? What kind of beer? are you fermenting inside the pig? (don't understand the process) just seen one never used one. if fermenting in it, I wouldn't freeze it.
You would have to see it in action, but the answer is that it's in a hard plastic container. I primed the beer in the container and there is a pack that expands when beer is dispensed to continue to push the beer out. Think I read the pack is essentially baking soda and vinegar and you pressurize the container to crack open the vial in pack to allow it to expand... So right now the container is basically filled with beer and this expanding pack...no headspace...
I used to use them and anytime I had issues with them I'd give Quoin a call they are pretty quick to reply.
