Does anyone know if there's any breweries in Colorado that make strong, sweet, complex, ingredient-laden pastry stouts in the vein of Angry Chair/Cycle/J.Wakefield? There's lots of haze-focused and some smoothie breweries here, but pastry stouts are the only "hype" beer style I've found myself loving lately. Does anyone know if CO has anything similar to the aforementioned breweries?

I guess "complex" is debatable, but I know what you mean. :stuck_out_tongue:
Weldwerks and Wiley Roots are what you seek...and they're conveniently like 500 yards apart.
Cerebral has a slightly more deft hand with the sweetness, but they do that sort of thing, too.

Amalgam Brewing (ref: Underground Breakfast, Another Realm, Meta Coconut)

Westbound & Down (ref: Beyond Opulence, Decadance)

    Just don't tell the out-of-staters.

Only issue is they both only release like one per quarter, so not on the regular like WeldWerks.
