Are there any good bottle shops in the patuxent river area of Maryland?

Going to be in the rarer for a few days and wanted to get some stuff we don't get in Florida

I'd be happy to help you, if I had some idea where you were going to be staying. The "patuxent river area" covers a pretty large area, and I have no idea what you mean by "going to be in the rarer" either. Granted, I only lived in Baltimore for 6 or 7 years, but those aren't area descriptions I'm familiar with. Perhaps there's a town or city you'll be staying in or near?

If I were guessing, it might be by the PAX River Air Station, just guessing though.

Yup. Right near the air station.

Rarer means area... Stupid auto spell

You should try Blue Wind Gourmet or International, both very close

I was afraid that might be what you meant. I confess I really don't know that area all that well (have been meaning to drive down to the Ruddy Duck in Solomons Island, but never got around to it (just too long a drive from Baltimore). Anyway, the Ruddy Duck Brewpub should be no more than a half hour drive from the air station, and I've heard some good things about their beers. Unfortunately, I don't believe they bottle anything there, but if you stop by, they might have a better idea about bottle shops in the area. Unfortunately, just based on what I've been told, I don't think you're going to find much around that part of Maryland, and less you're prepared to do a bit of driving. Good luck!

Blue Wind is kinda crap for beer now. I was in there on Saturday, buying whiskey. Great food and the owner let us sample a $110 bottle of wine... but their beer selection has gone way down hill.

Twist Wine & Spirits, California Wine & Spirits, International, and most importantly Nick's of Clinton are your best bets. International gets kinda warm in the summer and their turnover is slow. Sometimes there are rare gems, and sometimes you just wind up with poorly cellared and skunked beer.

That said, there is little there that you won't find in Florida. Perhaps some Heavy Seas? Not much else though.
