Please join us at Wildwood to welcome Firestone Walker Brewing Co. for a beer pairing dinner on Tuesday, June 12 at 6:30pm. They are bringing a couple of rare treats as well as some beers not usually seen in Oregon. We will have their award winning hefeweizen to enjoy as you mingle followed by a seated six course dinner. This will be our second dinner of Portland Beer Week. See the event listing linked below for more details.

Another fantastic menu! I'm afraid we'll be missing this one though. Stupid work...

I'm going to be attending this one. Entirely for the food though. If one wants to go for beer, Upright's lineup looks better

This one appears to be heavier on the meat and overall heartiness compared to Upright. It actually seems quite appropriate considering the fullness and heft of the FW beers as a whole. It goes to show the attention to appropriate pairing's paid by the chef. Make sure to report back on this one Sam!

Will do sir! I think the pairings between the food and beer for both dinners is very spot-on, but for my money, I'd rather be eating dead animal versus that weird green stuff people call vegetables. I wonder if FW has a surprise for us like Deschutes did with that batch #1 Fred.

Obviously, I don't have the answer to that, but my guess would be no. David Walker has been out here most of the week for Philly Beer Week and some of the pre Savor events, and so far I haven't seen or heard of anything crazy on tap. Still, we've seen Parabola, XV and Wookey Jack on tap, and there's nothing at all wrong with any of those beers (the draft Parabola in particular is really drinking well).

I'm just saying... he didn't bring out anything truly mindblowing for any of the big events out this way, so I guess I would be surpised if he turned around and did something different for the Wildwood dinner... but you never know.
