Peace Tree - Royale 41

Really enjoyed Royale 41. I might buy it again if it were in 12oz bottles, but probably not again in the current format. I'm cool with stouts, barleywine's and sours in bombers, but ipa's should be more session able, even imperials.

 

If your standard of buying a beef from a local brewery is Enjoy By, I take it you don't by local beer. I also take it that you don't buy almost any of Stones regular lineup either.

 

Correct, I usually buy whatever the best thing on the shelf is. I do buy Ruination when it's fresh, TG bottles and growlers, and pints at breweries like Big Grove, but I don't like to buy inferior products just because they're "local" (Knoxville is over 100 miles from me, so not really local anyway).

Edit - And FWIW I bought a Stone Collective Distortion that I didn't think was very good either last week and won't be buying again.

 

Only in Iowa can you buy beef at your local brewery!
