Depending on what you mean buy BBQ you could take it a step further and make some peach BBQ sauce. I have a sauce recipe I use to make peach BBQ pulled pork sandwiches. I use lindemans peche in it and home made peach preserves from my parents peach tree. But you can use it for just about anything though.

Well that is an easy one. Just fly out for SF Beer Week any given year and you can find it on tap all over San Francisco and decent craft beer outfits in the area. At least 20 different places will have it on tap and RRB will have it on tap for nearly 2 weeks straight.

The price will keep me away in the future but I'm glad I splurged it was very good and pretty unique. Hop God in chardonney barrels I would repeat by anytime though, still out of my comfort zone price wise, but man is it good.

Of the big long list most of them aren't really that great, but the Coors Apricot is actually really good somehow.

Did you see the interview the AC Golden guy did on Embrace the Funk? He seems to really know his shit. I wouldn't be shocked if in a few years they were making the best sours in the US. Mildly surprised, but not shocked.

It doesn't have to be the best, it just has to be available. All these super rare Yellow bus style sours mean nothing if the brewer has no idea how to make the beer again.

My tip would be to not try taste too many beers at once. It's hard to experience any beer, and particularly a sour beer, from just a few sips. Your palate needs to acclimate to the sourness first, and you can't use something sour as a palate cleanser like you could at, say, a stout tasting. I think it makes for a more memorable event to break out the top 5-6 for everyone, than if you cram as many beers as possible into one evening. Bigger pours of fewer beers, with adequate breaks in between tastes to allow for palate cleansing and rest - some of those unsalted water crackers might be good for that purpose.

Peaches & apricots are easily two of the greatest things ever to find their way into beer.

Great label, not sure how good the beer is. Spontanframboos was average to above average.

Are you a friend of Mikkel's? Or just advertising for him. I guess if I knew this had more peach flavor than the other Spontan's, then I would track one down. I am sure I can try it at his new beer bar in SF opening next weekend.
