I had a rep drop off some The Juice, The Freshest, and Hop Harvest at our place, Brewer's Tap and Table... Wow, I loved all three. Others that have tried it agree? I'm seriously considering giving them a couple slots on our tap list, so would love to hear what other folks are thinking...

I've always liked Peak, more than most people I think. Have always found their hoppy stuff to be enjoyable. That said, I wouldn't normally reach for them out of a tap list of 40+ beers with the brewers you originally posted.

I don't care for their dark beers. The mocha stout was terrible IMO.

(I, of course, meant Super Fresh, not The Freshest)

Yeah, this is why I ask... I also did not go to Peak in general, but consider some of these newer releases very worthy.

Havent had any of the newer beers. Been burnt with thier reoccurring diacytal problems enough. Maybe they figured it out but I won't be revisiting.

I bet if I blind tasted you on either the Super Fresh or The Juice you'd dig them... maybe you'll give them a shot on a whim some time.

They used to be one of my favorite breweries. The last few times I've had their summer session, fresh cut, etc...they just weren't as good as what I remembered. I used to buy them by the case but now I stay away.

Tried The Juice last week at 5 Horses in Cambridge and it was riddled with diacetyl to the point that it was undrinkable. Had the same experience drinking the Simcoe Spring Ale last year.

Did some research and read that they brew at Shipyard, which tells me everything I need to know.

I tried The Juice over the summer and thought it was just a pretty average beer - not even close to the NE style IPA that the name suggests. Do they want diacetyl in their beer or is that just some long running QC problem? At this point, I don't even know anymore

Really enjoyed a 4-pack of the Fresh a few weeks ago, found it very comparable to Jack's Abby Excess IPL. I typically enjoy Peak beers whenever I try them, although I did encounter a disappointing Summer Session 12 pack over the summer which had a slight bit of the big D.

As far as diacetyl being present due to the fact they brew @ Shipyard - I don't think they're using Ringwood yeast and crashing them too quickly (big factor for SY's signature butter bombs).

Oddly enough my experience with diacetyl in Peak beers has been minor (agree it's been there - but I don't seem to pick it up as much as other people), but I definitely got full on diacetyl in Shipyard stuff. And I remembered they're from the same facility. I bet Peak's quality would benefit greatly if they had their own brewery.

Can't edit, but I meant Somerville.

Pretty sure their new stuff, at least the lagers, is all brewed at Two Roads: http://www.brewbound.com/news/two-roads-announces-2-4-million-expansion

Had a can of The Juice last night. Was very pleasantly surprised. Haven't had too much of their other stuff though.

It would be cool to see Peak on tap, I don't see it much (not that I'm necessarily looking). They make some nice local Pilsner-type beers I enjoy. On another note, hopefully you'll have some pilsner/kolsch beers on tap at Brewer's tap!

Oh absolutely... we'll have a wide range of flavors from light to dark. There may a slight preponderance of IPA's and DIPA's, but lots of others to choose from.

Enjoyed The Juice. Really liked Super Fresh. Haven't come across any diacetyl issues in my limited experiences with them.

Had a can of The Juice (8/26? Canning) this week and was thoroughly unimpressed. Pleasant nose, and a little bitter up front, then waves of malt. Nothing I'd consider even remotely juicy, and certainly not worth the price. Too many other awesome local beers out there available on draft, probably won't ever try again.

Had The Juice on tap last night. Would say it was better than average.

I do believe I saw cases of The Juice at Two Roads in CT on a tour, so I assume it is brewed there.

I have only gotten diacetyl from their regular IPA, which I believe is (was?) brewed at Shipyard, none of their newer IPAs.
