If you ever make it to Tampa for Hunahpu's Day make sure to try the Snack Attack! They usually tap a keg every year for it, and it is by far the best peanut butter beer I have ever had.

Against the Grain - Bo & Luke peanut butter variation is great but very difficult to find.

Have only had DuClaw's Sweet Baby Jesus and was more than pleased. Good for one or two in a single session. I shared my first 6-pack at an oyster party and the general consensus was close to "surprisingly good". Reading some of the other posts has me wanting to seek out more of this variety.

Bo & Luke peanut butter is pretty amazing. deep roasted peanut flavor with no oils.

    I would probably go:

    1. Funky Buddha's No Crusts
    2. Willoughby Peanut Butter Cup Coffee Porter
    3. Springhouse's Big Gruesome..

No Crusts smells the best and most like it by far to me, though the taste is a bit of a disappointment.

    Willoughby's probably tastes the best.

Big Gruesome is probably the easiest to attain as they bottle and distribute it.

    All three are good though.

Short's Uuber Goober and PB&J are both awesome examples that use peanuts in their brewing. Use to be bottled but sadly tap option only these days.

    1. No Crusts - Funky Buddha (PB&J)
    2. Don't Tell Reese - Funky Buddha (Chocolate & PB)
3a. Sweet Baby Jesus - DuClaw (PB)
    3b. Lil' Gruesome - Springhouse (PB&J)
3c. Big Gruesome - Springhouse (PB)
    4. Liquid Bliss - Terrapin (Peanut)

Never had the opportunity/pleasure of having Karl Strauss' one or Willoughby, at least not yet. I've had both of them, and the Rapp PB Stout on my Wants list for a while now, but they still evade me.

I had the Belching Beaver peanut butter milk stout over the weekend. I felt it had a pretty intense peanut butter aroma, but wished that intensity would have carried over into the taste. It wasn't anything that a couple of leftover Reese's holiday couldn't fix :grinning:

Tallgrass made a PB&J porter in a firkin. It was delicious, probably the only beer by them I've enjoyed.

Never had one. And I have a horrible feeling that while I'd probably mock the very concept of a peanut butter infused beer, once tasted I'd probably really like it.

Anybody know how many of these beers use actual peanuts/peanut butter, and how many just use artificial flavoring?
