I'll make sure to pick up some bottles when it's released. They just gave away their 2nd runnings to a couple homebrew friends so I'm guessing it's fermenting now.

I bought a 1/2 barrel of Pandemonium Pale Ale and a 1/2 barrel of Uber Goober for my 25th Birthday. The Pale Ale kicked in about 2 days--the Uber in about a month! It was ridiculous. That beer is so rich and filling, my friends and I thought it would never end. I still love the beer, but I'll definitely be purchasing a 1/6 from now on.

I had a sour peanut beer ale once. a friend brewed a PB beer that just started to go sour, so he let it go. Turned out interesting.

Willoughby Brewing in Willoughby, OH has been out of their Peanut Butter Cup Porter every time Ive been there. And last time I just had my GF's step dad grab me a growler of their IPA. I do wanna try it.

Terrapin is currently brewing their next side project: Liquid Bliss- a chocolate peanut butter porter, brewed with real peanut butter. I'm looking forward to giving it a try or two.

They did a peanut butter Black Tuesday...had it at the tasting room on New Year's Eve, I think. No idea if it was ever bottled.

It was...interesting. I'd say the other experimental versions of bt have been better, but it certainly was interesting to taste.

I only saw it at one place last year, but the price tag made me shy away. The Drinkery (inside Tupelo Music Hall) was selling it for $15. Was it less expense elsewhere? I thought it was a pretty high price tag for such a new brewery. Worth it?

The new Mitten Brewing Co in GR will have a pb stout in their first batch.

As a flavor, this sounds like something I would try, but:

someone mentioned pb beers tended to suffer from infections when bottling. (I feel like an amount of pumpkin beers have befallen the same fate this season).

Is there a reason for that? Is it the oil in the pb or peanuts? There are plenty of pecan/hazelnut beers out there. Seen some bacon ones and oyster stouts made with real oysters... but granted, those probably were iffy in a certain percentage of bottles, as well...

    Just curious.
