Anyone going? I don't know that area well, what are best bets for drinking before show?

St. Gambrinus on Atlantic, 4th Ave Pub and Pacific Standard (both on 4th) and Uncle Barry's on 5th Ave are all close and do a good job at keeping their menus up to date on Beer Menus.

I plan on spending the Saturday afternoon at Torst, maybe with stops at Spuyten Duyvil and Barcade. Not particularly in the area of the arena but there's plenty day to waste. Pacific Standard is a good little bar pretty close to the venue.

Not going to Pear Jam but I'll be at The Nine Inch Nails show on 10/14... I wanted to hit up St Gambrinus beforehand but they're closed Mondays. That would be my recommendation for before Pearl Jam.

On that note, I'll probably be pregaming NIN at Uncle Barrys or 4th Ave Pub if any BAs are going and would want to meet up. I also may have an extra NIN GA ticket if anyone's interested.

there's a wishlist foundation preparty at die kohner beirhalle

they have a lot of german beer on tap (obviously)

there's also a decent bar with maybe 15 craft handles 5 minutes walking from the venue, but if you wanna geek out with fans- die koehner is the place

I'm going to both shows. Not sure what my plan is Friday night. Would be cool to get a BA gathering at some bar near the venue.

Probably hitting Torst for a bit Saturday. If anyone wants to do a bottle share hit me up!

Probably just doing Gambrinus on Friday. In my past experiences, Fourth Ave has been WAY too crowded before a show. Pacific Standard also only slightly less so

Just an FYI; to the best of my knowledge the Barclays shows are without an opening act at this point. So Pearl Jam will be on stage around 7:30.

True about no opening act, but at first two shows of tour they have hit stage at around 8:20.

I know... Was really hoping for an acoustic preshow or Eddie preshow set. Like we got Boston 3 2003.

By the way, you can call the venue the day of for set times.

And I'd recommend you pregame hard-- at NIN on Monday, I checked every single stand. The only thing worth buying is Brooklyn Lager, GI IPA, and there was one stand with Sixpoint Sweet Action and some shitty Coney Island bottles.

    Good luck.

Pearl Jam has been going on right around 8:20 each night, no opener.

Thanks on the heads up on the lack of craft inside. :slight_frown:

Yeah it was embarrassing... other than that excellent venue (it was my first time there), luckily i had some Pipeworks before heading to Brooklyn in Grand Central.

You definitely nead some pre-show drinking to tolerate Pearl Jam.
