Pearl Specialty Market, anyone use them?

Ordered on Sunday and hasn't been shipped yet. I've been contacting them because of issues with their website and they said because of the free shipping they are really backed up.

 

I ordered on 6/15, it was shipped on 6/18, and still shows it is in Troutdale OR. as of last night with estimated delivery on 6/26. Hope the boys in the Troutdale Fedex Warehouse aren't having a little party with my Salvation.

 

I am not trying to complaing here and I am thankful for their free shipping offer. However, them pitching the "we're really backed up" line doesn't work for me. What did they think was going to happen when they put a large banner add saying "Free Shipping" on the message board of beer advocate. Did they think we were all going to chat before we put in our orders so that we could stagger them in a way that didn't inconvenience them? Ha ha ha.

Again, not trying to bitch, as I haven't had any issues and I am confident I will get my order, but if I were in your shoes and they gave me that line I would have been frustrated.

 

I ordered on the 14th as well. I haven't recieved it yet. I know I got an email that it shipped, but I can't find it so I can't check my tracking number.

My order from Pearl River just showed up in my office safe and sound.

 

my box arrived safely (and hot, hope there are no adverse effects on the beer.)

 

It definitely will not freeze... How about in jan or feb, i would not order then.

 

Well after much hoopla, I'm being refunded for my order because they changed their shipping policies to not include PA anymore. I should have known it was too good to be true.

 

So folks in Jersey and Connecticut who placed there orders on 6/14 got their packages today. I'm in Rhode Island and also placed my order on 6/14. I am assuming I will get it tomorrow (and I really hope I do because I have a fellow beer geek coming over tomorrow night and it would be nice to get into some of the things I ordered).

Keeping my fingers crossed....

 

Placed an order on 6/15. It took them until yesterday to ship. No problem there, I understand they got slammed (although I was only order like 80 something).

This AM, I get an email saying 2 of the 3 beers I ordered "were out of stock. Refund issued". A day after I got the "your order shipped" email. A week after I placed the order.

Sorry, I'll take the one bottle that's coming my way, but, seriously, that's piss poor. Will not order from this place again.

 

There are banner ads on this site?

 

Still kicking myself after not ordering during the free shipping period. I had my eyes set on one of their belgian 3 pack deals. Was such a good deal.

 

Every time I ship out a trade it says it's in Troutdale for the duration of its trip then magically transports to the front step of my trade partners house in Florida. It might sound fishy (pun intended), but that's just par for the course. Don't panic.

 

Just got my 6/14 order of Obsidian Stout in CT this morning.

 

They're in Portland and only have 1 Upright beer?

 

These guys suck. Pennsylvania was not listed on their states that they don't ship to, so I placed a good size order with them during the free shipping period. I got a shipping confirmation so I was excited to receive the beers and then the next day received a message saying that they no longer ship to Pennsylvania. My order was cancelled. What a joke....

 

Other online beer stores ship to Pennsylvania so why can't Pearl Specialty? Also, why did they wait until after sending me a shipping confirmation to inform me that they couldn't ship to Pennsylvania?

 

They had several a few days ago. I'm sure they'll restock.
