While probably not what one would call a traditional scotch ale, Harviestoun has a wide lineup of Ola Dubh Reserve, which are aged in various age statement Highland Park casks. I quite enjoyed the 18, but they go from 12 to 30, I believe.

De Molen and Emelisse are definitely going to have the most Islay/Peated whisky barrel-aged options.

Pöhjala: Pime Öö Islay BA and J.W. Lee's Lagavulin Harvest Ale may be the most accessible (in addition to Ola Dubh)

Lift Bridge did a Laphroaig BA Silhouette in 2019.

Xyauyù Fumé from Birra Baladin is an Islay BA barleywine.

Kind of regional, but Barreled Souls has BA Big Munro, which is a bourbon barrel-aged peated scotch ale.

Fremont had Peated Brew 2000 and Peated 12 Anniversary, but those you'd have to trade a bit for.

FiftyFifty does an Islay BA Eclipse variant.

There are quite a lot of islay malt BA and peated BA options out there, but because they're so polarising, it's still somewhat of a niche thing, I would say. They aren't that hard to find, it's just something you need to look for specifically.

I think of all the barrel aging options for beer, peaty Scotch barrels are some of the most difficult to pull off very well in the flavoring of a beer. And I love many types of barrel aged beers and I love some Peaty scotches. When I’m in the mood for a good smokey beer I tend to look for a Rauchbier to get my fix.

Given how big of barrel aging program Founders has, i scanned the historical roster of Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy but i was not seeing anything suggesting anything Peaty. Would agree with @bubseymour that the style is hard to pull off with beer although i do enjoy the two separately.

    Cheers,
