Pecan Porter/Beer Geek

    While I agree, no reason to drop bombs on others taste buds. JK does tend to do extensions of the similar beer's types at different ABV (LPP->MM, NK->TM); its something I rather enjoy and to the OP's (and various other responders) point I think it will drive JK into a national spotlight sooner rather than later.

    As far as (512) is concerned, I've only had 3 of their beers and two of them were outstanding (IPA and Pecan Porter). I imagine their next hurdle will be bottling but if those brews continue to 'hold serve' in that format, I think they are some of the tastiest things out there.

    I think two other breweries could join this conversation soon, Deep Ellum and Peticolas. Anyway I'd sooner have awesome state wide distribution for these guys than see their awesome stuff leave via trades. All in all its a pretty awesome time to be getting into craft beer here in TX for me.
