In case anyone is as big of a fan of Dieu du Ciel!'s Péché Mortel as I am, The Foundry in Northampton, MA is one of a few select beer bars in the US to be selected for Péché Day 2016. Looks like they will have six versions of the beer on tap and are hosting a pre-release tasting session that guarantees 4oz pours of all of the variants without having to wait at the bar. I'm really looking forward to this one!

Wow, it's annoying when a company doesn't proofread their webpage with an ounce of common sense. A full page of very detailed and helpful information, but no mention of when Péché Day is.
It's Saturday, February 27 for those of us who don't have it marked on our calendars.

$32 for 6 4oz. pours. Too rich for my blood.

They're doing individual 4oz/8oz pours starting at 3 that day. The ticket just guarantees you a seat at the bar and some room to breathe while you try all 6.

St-Henri coffee is bomb. That peche version must be outstanding

Any other MA locations for Peche day besides The Foundry in North Hampton?

There's only 9 spots in the entire U.S. Next closest spots are Novare Res in Portland, Three Penny in VT, and Spuyten Duyvil in Brooklyn.

    Here's the Facebook announcement.

Thanks! I hope they bottle some of this. Seems like we might get another round of bourbon bottle peche? When was the last one 2013?

Huge bottle sale of barrel-aged variants at the St. Jerome production brewery yesterday - we're getting leftovers.

no complaints since the Foundry is my favorite local bar, but pretty crazy that four of the nine spots are in the northeast where any person that was reasonably committed to the day could really drive to any of the four. The US is so large, and the northeast gets a disproportionate amount of pretty much everything. Again, that pretty much always works to my favor as a resident, but just recognizing the truth of the matter.

Buffalo, Philly, and Washington DC too. Those are northeast, or at least pretty damn close, depending on your location.

Guess the Foundry event sold out already, so they opened up a second seating from 3-5. Bar opens to the public at 6 for whatever is left.

Anyone looking for tickets to session 2 this Saturday pm me. Event is sold out but I don't think I'm going to be able to go. Will sell for cost once I confirm I can't make it in next day or two.

Why the hell would they host it so far, in the middle of nowhere Massachusetts. Why can't this be closer to Boston? I'm not driving two hours each way...

Because it's more centrally located when compared to places like upstate NY, Hartford CT, and southern VT. By putting it in Northampton, there's a greater concentration of people who live within a 100 mile radius who have the ability to attend, than there would be if it were in Boston. There are 1.5 million+ residents who live in western and central MA. God forbid we get an event like this once in a while.

Northampton is actually a nice little city, and the area has a nice beer scene. You should visit sometime. There's more to MA than just Boston

I can't feel bad, that's how we feel about every Boston beer event/sports game/concert/etc.
