peche mortel, where are you?

    I tried this amazing stout from Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel called peche mortel and found myself lovestruck at the creamy almost mussie head that it produced. Very unique flavor as well. One of the best stouts to part my lips.
    Trouble is, I am having trouble tracking it down. It seems to be around the Chicago area but never where I seem to be looking. If anyone knows where it's possible to find one, or if you just want to talk about anything from Brasserie Dieu Du Ciel, this is the thread.

    Funny you should mention DDC, I just finished my last Rigor Mortis in celebration of Canada Day.

    I know Chicago isnt close but the LCBO (read liquor monopoly) in Ontario, quite often features DDC brew in the Autumn-Winter promotions they run. They actually have one now called Rosee D`Hibiscus:

    Its alot like drinking herbal tea but if the temps are running +100F its not bad. I prefer the Unibroue brand but I did like the Route Des Epices, a peppercorn rye not unlike Founders Red`s Rye.

    There is also a company that private orders monthly the DDC brands but unless you are in Ontario...and I would share the website with you but that would be just mean.

    No family or friends in Ontario.... eh? Maybe business or pleasure trip upcoming?

    It seems the Ontario area may have some interesting things to offer. Research may be necessary.

    It was on tap not too long ago at Nellie's, but at least they supposedly still have bottles available there... All's I know is my distributor hasn't had any Peche for me in some time. Shame, really, as that stuff is very tasty, indeed.

    I picked up the last 2 bottle's at Cardinal liquors in Crystal Lake. They were going for $2.99 a bottle.

    Peche Mortel? thats a steal! I have never seen it for less than $6 anywhere and have much more commonly seen it for$8-9. Congrats on a great buy!
