I started looking for that beer late summer 2011 and I've never seen it in Rochester. I have seen it in Buffalo before but that was more than a year ago.
It used to be available here but it has been sometime. Nathaniel's had it at one point but it was not selling and they did not order more at the time. A few of us have told them that we would buy it up if they can get it again in the future. Sad that such a great beer sat there, while more hyped beers that were not as good flew off the shelf.
Again this doesn't help at all really but I've got plenty of Peche Mortel in my store in Westchester.
I might have to take that back. Stopped in the store that had it last time and there was none, couple other beers from them, but no Peche.
Chances are that's just a temporary lack of stock, VT seems to get a steady stream of DDC across the board.
While in Montreal I tried to find DDC on a cold rainy night with the wife and kids. Just couldn't find that place. My son was coming down with a cold and my wife said "time's up."
I discovered Peche Mortel at DDC while visiting Montreal in summer 2011. DDC is a little tricky to find, but not too hard and well worth it. One of my local bottle shops in MD sells Peche Mortel, but the prices are scary high, especially compared to the prices at local joints around the corner from DDC. For those who live near the Canadian line, I'd suggest a visit to Montreal, and just bring some back home with you. It's well worth the trip. I doubt that you can get it in Toronto or elsewhere in Ontario, but from Rochester or Buffalo, that would be a simple enough trip that it's worth checking there, too.
the real question is where's aphrodite show up? i saw one on a bar's list for $10 in waterbury and had to get it. <3
