Completely forgot I started this thread. Thanks for all the replies everybody. Officially ISO Pechish Woods.

Do you have any more details on this Knifestyles? I had White Woods on tap last summer at the brewery and it was a completely different beer than Lady of the Woods.

It's my understanding that the Lady of the Woods recipe that we're familiar with was discontinued after last year and now the White Woods "recipe" has taken its place....just re-branded as LotW. On paper, these beers really aren't all that different and come from the same exact base beer, but there is a slight difference. I enjoyed a pour of the most recent "LotW" bottling and noticed a certain lactic presence that was never detectable in previous LotW bottlings.

I already miss the original LotW. The first batch (white paper label) remains as one of the best beers I've ever had in my life.

I bought a bottle of green label Lady from the Woods last June and still have it. Do you know if this is the old recipe by chance? Also, the White Woods I had on tap didn't taste like it had a witbier base at all and was rather just a chardonnay and oak bomb (not in a bad way though, it was pretty perfect on a hot summer day).

Another thing I'm confused about is this:

If they just used the recipe to be the new Lady of the Woods, why did they get these labels approved last year?

No clue about the label approval....they had A LOT of different Woods series lined up initially (Belginerweiss, being a great missing example).

This information was passed down directly from the brewer, so I'm not sure if the plan has changed or what. Just relaying what's been explained to me.

EDIT: As for your LotW from last June, I'd imagine that's still the original recipe. The bottle that I tried last Friday was apparently from this year's batch. I hadn't tried White Woods before this, but it was certainly not LotW....so I agree with you on the noticable differences. But then....what would the base be for White Woods if not Grey Lady? Is there another Cisco "white" beer that I'm not aware of?

Ah! Always forget about that one. Certainly a distinct possibility then. I typically assume "white" = "wit"....but I suppose that doesn't necessarily have to be the case.

I was talking to the guys at Redstone liquors and they are under the impression that a new batch of pechish will be released at the end of the summer (earliest). They also have a large stock of lady of the woods, monomoy kreik and winter woods.
