I am thinking of going to Peekskill next week on a Tuesday afternoon (around 12) and would love to get some info. There is not a lot of information about their growler filling policy online and I dont want to drive out there without knowing what is going on.

My initial uneducated plan is to swing by, try a couple of beers at the bar, and if I am wowed, then I would like to bring some home.

It seems that the Pub is open on Tuesday afternoons, but not that taproom (opens at 3). The place looks very sophisticated.

Is there a bar just to hang out at in the pub? Do they fill growlers at the pub? When can you get growler fills? Can you fill other brewery's bottles or just theirs? How much is a growler fill?

Is there any place near by that I should stop at?

They allow you to fill growlers other than their own. This is a great place, good food and love their hoppy offerings. If you got time I would recommend the burger. I would definitely spend some time there, get a flight.

Thanks for the reply. I love not having to buy growlers. That Mass law has costed my a lot of money...

Do they fill growlers in the pub or only the tap room? Unfortunately I will have to leave there by 2:00 and the tap room is not open at that point.

I just went to the tap room and got them filled on a Sunday when both were open, I would think if they are open upstairs they just bring the bottle downstairs and fill them but probably the best thing to do is call them to double check.

When I was there last weekend, the tap room was closed but they fill growlers in the pub but from a tube not the downstairs growler machine. Either way great spot with great beers.

Check out www.beermenus.com for the tap list and prices. Higher Standard is excellent and their best beer. Expensive pricing though.

The Coffee IPA was really unique (tasted like hoppy iced coffee), excellent way to start the day. The 3 Standard beers lineup is great (lower, eastern and higher). The whole lineup there is solid and if you have time you can check out the Birdsall which is another good bar with outdoor area, local tap selection and good food.

if you plan on bringing growlers home I hope you're not attached to an arm and/or leg. Beer's amazing though, new IPL "Yeah Jeets" is possibly my favorite from them yet. Crisp tropical fruit deliciousness.

Bringing this one back from the dead to announce that on May 27 this is happening:

"We are happy to announce that PB Eastern Standard and NYPA will be availabe in a 16-oz can package! Since 2008 (yes, it's been 8 years!), we have envisioned packaging our beer for our guests to take home and just in time for Memorial Day Weekend.

Please note this a very limited run as we are using a mobile canning service! Cans will not be available for wholesale purchase- invidual use only (please see case limit below).

To celebrate this 1st release at 3pm we're going to be partying in our north lot Beer Garden featuring live music, food and beer of course!

    Deets:
    - The order line will take place outside the Brewery Doors promptly at 3 pm on Friday, May 27th.
    - Live music begins at 5 pm
    - One Case Maximum Per Brand
    - $16 for 16 oz. 4 packs
    - $96 per case or 24 cans
    - CASH only. No exceptions. Atm provided in PB's lobby"

    NYPA in cans? Yes, please.

This is cool. Good for them. But I have to say I'm dreading an East Coast move given the 4-pack prices. In New Mexico, I sometimes hesitate to buy Elevated 4-packs for $10. All it takes is one east coast trip to remind me how good we have it.

Anyway, still excited and I'll hope to buy some cans later this summer.

Shit would love to get some Peekskill cans. Eastern Standard is one of my favorite beers. I just can't make it up there that weekend.

Hopefully this is a good sign for consistent cans to come in the future.

They don't say in the post, but I would be amazed if it was more than 160 cases of each.

Can't believe how many Brewery's are popping up. I could visit at least 7 of them within a hour including this one which got good reviews. I just hope the Farm laws don't kill them.
