I appreciate your commentary specifically because it's not IPA focused but why not just say you enjoyed the cream ale without the parenthesis comment? We get it.

Noted - but since 95% of any thread is IPA focused, thought I'd have to explain myself.

Did they have more higher standard in cans when you left? Did you see if they had Amazeballs in cans?

    ThanKS for the info

Thanks man!! I appreciate it. Ill probably shoot up there after work. Higher standard is an absolute hop bomb and I heard really good things about Amazeballs

Drinking a Higher Standard right now. I generally don't enjoy drinking DIPAs over 8% anymore and now this one at 9.5% is reminding me why. Too syrupy for my taste - but I think that's normal for high abv DIPAs. Nothing bad to say about the beer - just not the style for me.

the cans of amazeballs I drank last week were really enjoyable, maybe more so than the cans of higher standard.

the food was bad in a really obvious way, meat not cooked to temperature, easy stuff like mashed potatoes not seasoned right, etc.

I hear that. I wanna get some!. Thanks for the tip about the food.

I agree with you about the higher abv beers. I try to stay away from them. But I love high IBU IPAS. That might be why its so sticky as well. I compare higher standard to Alchemist Crusher. Both absolute hop bombs, but I can only drink one.. any more then that I may get sick

Yeah I think one is enough for me. I wish I could trade in the rest for something like a 12 pack of SN Oktoberfest.

Perhaps subjective; nonetheless, I found Paramount to be ridiculously good; impressively balanced for a pale that’s chock-full of flavor and offers an exquisite crisp/clean feel = Outright Crushable

Still looked like a decent number of Paramount cans when I picked up mine yesterday. The new Stario IPA on tap was very nice. Also heard they were canning Amazeballs again in the next week - huge pallet of empties was on display.

For a couple of years Peekskill was my go to, NYC area was a wasteland for local IPAs pre OH. Don't think I have been back since Other Half opened. Amazing how times have changed locally since 2014.
