Sorry for yet another of these threads. I pitched m15 dry yeast about 3 days ago. Active fermentation began t+18 and seems to be over. This is what is left on my wort. Excuse the pic - the debris on the fermenter make picture focussing near impossible. I've never seen this before and can't tell if its the end of the yeast or the start of a pellicle.

    Thanks everyone

Hard to tell to me but might be Krausen. It is "stuff" on top of your brew during fermentation. Honestly, I learned about krausen today, so can't be positive.

I dont see a pellicle from the picture (I'm not saying that there isn't one, I just can't see it).

Give it some time. If it's krausen it will go away. If it's a pellicle it will get worse.

Looks like krausen that just hasn't fallen completely

Should it fall on its own in the next 7-10 days or do I need to do something to make it fall? Is this an effect of having medium flocculaation or perhaps overpitching?

Some yeast strains just have krausen that lingers. I love WY1469, but that one won't drop unless I cold crash.

If you are worried about it you can cold crash. If it's done you can also just be careful to not siphon any of the krausen in when you transfer
