So, I love the tastings at Beer Rev and Grape and Grain, but I was wondering if there were a few people interested in smaller, more intimate tastings. I find the larger gatherings make it impractical to open smaller bottles, and even with the the bigger ones, you only get a small taste. Just opening this up to see if any BA's around Redwood City would be interested in having weekly or bi-weekly bottles shares. Also, not just looking to bust out bottles that are readily available in the area. I'm thinking more along the lines of Hill Farmstead, Crooked Stave, limited Bruery, etc. I find myself with so many good bottles of beer, I feel it's almost a waste to drink them all by myself... BM me if you are interested
I'd be game for something after work occasionally as I work in Foster City. Keep me posted on what you put together.
I am doing a lot of travel from the midwest to the area for work. I am there during the week. I would love this and could bring midwest brews along.
Also potentially interested. Wednesday nights are usually good for me. Especially shortly after 5 or 6.
I would totally be interested. If it was every week, my wife would kick my ass... but 1-2 times a month and she should be happy I am reducing the stockpile!
I've been talking to Kevin, the manager at Harry's Hofbrau in Redwood City. He's installed a pretty kickass beer garden. We don't have anything formal set up yet, but we were talking about hosting bottle shares there. The only issue is that it's not super close to Caltrain.
