Penrose (2019)

Pre-orders for a penrose dipa? Foolish

 

I'm a fan of Penrose, but not of some of their business practices. I've never understood pre-ordering, even with Marz. I'm not talking about one off adjunct stouts here.

 

Avoids lines. Something Penrose has always been a little skittish about.

 

It’s a pretty nice ipa.

They’ve got a BBA vanilla quad on tap that was really really good

 

Would be great to see them focus on wild and sour releases and not average IPAs.

 

Not paying $12.99 for a 4 pack of 12 oz cans. Also, all of the low abv stuff in their taproom is poured in 12oz tulips. Ever heard of a fucking pint?

 

Stevens Street is definitely a 16oz pour. It's probably the fruited kettle sours in 12oz pours.

 

Unless they changed something in the last couple weeks, they have zero 16oz pours, not even their golden ale. Never seen a pint glass in the building.

 

I was there a little over a month ago and definitely drank Stevens Street from a pint glass.
