ANNIVERSARY BOTTLE RELEASE: SINGLE BARREL 21

    3.21.15 | PENROSE BREWING COMPANY | 10:00AM

Wednesday, March 18th is our one year anniversary, and we are eternally grateful for your early support. And although we would love nothing more than to show our infinite appreciation with another release of two new bottled Wild ales, it looks like we got a little ahead of ourselves last week. Bottles of Wild IX are not going to be available for purchase on Saturday, March 21st — the beer simply needs more time.

That said, we are still planning to release bottles of our oak-fermented anniversary beer, Single Barrel 21. This is a barrel we've been saving for this very special occasion. It is our humble opinion that SB-21 is the very best beer we've created to date, and we're extremely excited to share it with you. Secondarily fermented in French oak with our evolving collection of wild yeast and bugs, this bright sour is brilliant. Bottles are $15 and go on sale at 10am on Saturday, March 21st at the brewery.

For those interested in a bit more — we're closing the brewery for an intimate gathering of friends and family from 1-5p on Sunday, March 22nd and we'd love if you would join us. So on Wednesday, March 18th at 1pm, we will be releasing a limited number of tickets to this party that will be on sale in our taproom only. They're $35 each and include the following:

    • Access to max allocation of Single Barrel 21 bottles
    • Full brewery access to special tappings and games throughout
    • Special tappings include: Wild V, Wild X, BBA Spectral-Iteration 001, Wine BA Spectral, and a couple other unnamed tarts/sours we're working on
    • Custom Anniversary glass
    • Custom Anniversary screen print
    • Hors d'oeuvres from local favorite, Moveable Feast

We look forward to seeing you soon — cheers.

Sounds like a pretty great event, too bad I wouldn't be able to make it.

Two tickets per person but most of us were buying one. Line wasn't very long. Folks could call over there to see if tickets are still available after work. Should be a good party Sunday. Looks like a fun draft list, and these guys know what they're doing so I suspect that folks won't be disappointed. No clue on how many tickets though because I'm sure they don't want it too crowded and you've got to save room for family I'd assume.

Should be similar to other releases, Id say you'd be more than fine to get there around 8:30, but I have no idea. This release is supposedly VERY limited and apparently none was kegged.
