My parents are going to be attending the Emerald Coast Beer Fest in early September. I live in Louisiana and I'm hoping to have them bring me back some nice stouts, porters or any great seasonals that I can't get in Louisiana. I have two questions.

    1) what do u reccommend that I should have them pick up?

    2) what are some good bottle shops in the pensacola area?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks in Advance!

Not sure if seekabrew is updated, but it looks like Bell's isn't available in LA? If there's any around, I'd suggest any of the Bell's winter stouts - Expedition, Cherry, Java, or Kalamazoo (year-round). Pensacola, on occasions, tends to receive CCB seasonal / limited releases months after the initial release. If we're lucky, Marshall Z might be around the time your folks are in town.

    Bottle shops:
    • Richey's East on 9th Ave.
    • Richey's East on Gregory
    • Hopjacks Filling Station on Scenic Hwy.
    • Bambooze on N. Davis Hwy.
And since the festival is downtown, they can go to World of Beer (Palafox) and purchase bottles from there. You can download their app and see what they have in stock.

I'm sure @TonyJ815 or @beerindaglass can chime in on this.

That should about cover it. The first thought that came to mind was our endless supply of VAS, but alas, Anna's fine wines is no more. Ten Fidy may be around by then too.

@will_eye_e pretty much nailed it, man.

If they're willing and able, then they could always grab a fresh flip top growler (or two, or three, or however many may suit your fancy) from Pensacola Bay Brewery.

Hopjacks Filling Station is slightly on the higher price end, but then again, they normally carry some stuff that the other shops cant get. Bambooze and Richeys (9th preferably) have 2 different distributors I believe, and they both have very affordable prices, so I'd say those would be your best bets as far as bottle shops go.

That's just one man's two cents though.

I hope that they enjoy Pensacola, and that you potentially enjoy a little taste of Pensacola as well! Cheers.

    Thanks all for the replies!
Will eye-We don't get Bells and I would love to try some of their great beers. Great to know I can find them in Florida. Thanks for mentioning the seekabrew. I'm still newish to the forum so I forget the resources available.

Tony J-I will definitely have them pick up a growler at pensacola bay as I have visited there before when I have been to the area.
