I apologize if this thread has already been created, but I have been looking around and could not find a thread on this topic.

    To recap:

Last year Abraxas release tickets were sold on brownpaperticket.com on October 15th, for $70. the $70 ticket included 2 bottles of regular Abraxas and 1 bottle of Coffee Abraxas. (and abraxas bag)

    Pickup dates were:
    Tuesday, November 10th
    Wednesday, November 11th
    Thursday, November 12th
    Friday, November 13th
    Saturday, November 14th

Do people know when the tickets will be announced/when they will be sold? Additionally do people know if the tickets will be for the same beers: 2 regular + 1 coffee?

I understand people may not know yet, so if this information is not yet available does anybody know when I should be keeping an eye out?

Thanks ! Looking forward to the dialogue.

There have been no announcements on the dates. format, and beers for Abraxas for 2016. Any discussion at this point is just guessing.

Details should be coming soon as they just completed the Societe memberships and first release.

Thank you for the reply! That's in line with what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure. I guess I'll continue to be on the lookout for an announcement.

Do they allow for proxies or no?

Edit: never mind looks like last year was a no on that. Guessing it'll be the same

Last year proxies were allowed, you just had to give the name as the person who would pick it up with the purchase on brown ticket. I used one myself because I was out of town that week.

I wouldn't count on anything until Perennial confirms it.

This may be a dumb question but, does Abraxas reach distribution at all? They are new to Minnesota this year so wondering if we may see even a little bit.

Yes they do distribute it (unless something changed this year)

IIRC Casanova got some last year but it sold out instantly, I would be surprised if we get much here, but I hope so! Great beer!

A little off topic, but is Casanova some beer Mecca in MN? I only ever hear about that city and how it gets really good distribution.

Casanova is a liquor store (and also a restaurant/bar) in Hudson, Wisconsin. I would consider the area apart of the Twin Cities and due to it getting Wisconsin distro, a lot of us from Minnesota will make our way out there.

Thrown in that it's about as close to the Cities as you could get while still being in Wisconsin, growler fills of a variety of kegs from different breweries, and lack of Sunday sales for Minnesota, they know how to cater to their audience pretty well. Pretty sure I've heard a few times that their biggest selling day of the week is Sunday from all the Minnesota mules making their runs because they "forgot" to stock up earlier in the week. If (when?) Minnesota passes Sunday sales, I've got to imagine they will take a pretty significant hit.

They have a great craft selection and even have a shelf of singles labeled "Beers that aren't sold in Minnesota". There was a brief period where they were the only store in Hudson getting Toppling Goliath deliveries but that doesn't appear to be the case anymore. Most folks don't realize or care that if you go to another store a couple miles further up the road most of the beers are about a buck or two cheaper.

For an Iowa equivalent, think of it as being a fireworks stand just across the border in Missouri, Nebraska, or South Dakota. The stores that are raking it in are the ones located by the first exit across the border.
