Are these guys expanding distro to NorCal? I see one of their saisons listed on K&L and it doesn't look to be a collaboration so I'm just curious.
I've seen a couple bottles in some bottle shops. Nothing regular that I've seen though. Here's to hoping!
They've had a few tap takeovers in the Bay Area as well. Could be a temporary thing or part of a launch, but I've not seen any articles stating what the dill pickle is.
Clearly 'Dill Pickle" is code for BA Abraxas hitting distro in the Bay Area. I've only grabbed one of the saison's off the shelf in SF so far. I was told it would be a slow roll out, but yeah, it's here.
Don't know any details about distro - one-time, draft vs retail, etc. - other than The Trappist in Oakland had BA Sump on tap a few weeks back.
A few locations in the Bay Area had Saison de Lis available. Seems like we're getting distro, but not on that large a scale right now.
I asked them at one of the events around GABF and they said they are distributing to SF. He didn't mention how much or which disty
I haven't seen bottles yet, but they have had saisons on tap in at least two bars in Fresno in the last month or so.
Actually, I take that back: one of those spots did get Saison de Lis bottles, and they also had Hommel-Bier on tap.
I believe Perennial recently expanded distribution to Seattle, so some other markets along the West Coast would not be outside the realm of possibility.
I would expect we will get distro of other bottles in the Bay moving forward. I agree, not interested in a chamomile saison that much. But throw it in a barrel with some bugs, now you're talking!
