Drinking a Wadadli Premium Gold at Shirley Heights in Antigua the evening after I got married. Shirley Heights has an amazing view down into English Harbor and looks W/SW into the sunset. Montserrat, Guadeloupe and the Rock of Redonda are visible in the distance. Plus, a steel drum band was playing and they had some very tasty jerk chicken. Wadadli is the local Antiguan beer and is pretty average, but for the setting and situation, it was perfect.

This pic shows English Harbor in the background.

And this pic shows Montserrat on the left with Redonda faintly visible as a small bump on the horizon in the middle. The entrance to English Harbor is on the far right.

Chillin' outside on the patio at Alpine Beer Company enjoying the first Nelson on draft from the brewery with my best friend after a 2 hour drive. Got there just in time for the heat and sun to be on it's way down. That was a perfect moment.

Pint of Fullers ESB at Churchill Arms in London on my honeymoon. Was a transcendent beer experience for me. My wife framed a picture of the pub and gave it to me for our anniversary.

    @loafinaround: Mad, mad respect.

I do have to laugh imagining that child (who I'm sure is an angel) sassing you and the natural reply being, "Kid, I brought you into this world AND crushed a Ten FIDY so you can be damn sure I will take you OUT of this world and crush a Ten FIDY!"

but honestly, it was a ten fidy for 2 reasons: 1) gift from the pediatrician (my good friend and beerphile who checked the baby the next day) 2) I would have been taken down by a single bcbs.

(and I didn't drink the brew the same day. I basically napped that night...)

but yeah, you nailed my personality. totally like that with my 6 year old.... ha! gotta have empathy for my boys. but at least they'll be trained to eat spicy food and drink good beer as adults.

I remember I started my voyage with Craft Beer with a DFH 90 Minute IPA. When I first had it...all I could taste was nothing but bitterness and a lot of alcohol. A year after getting into craft beer I returned to it and WOW...what a effing difference. I could finally taste hops and really appreciate all that DFH 90 min was supposed to be.

After that one, I haven't had one that taste the same since...which is kind of disappointing. Whether the beer itself changed or my taste buds, but I'll still seek after that perfect IPA.

My best experience that comes to mind is attending a Unibroue tap takeover in 2012 (god been that long already)

Got to try a nice flight with a burger and a pour of La Terrible with a keep the glass offer for just 7.50 (still use the goblet)

The beer guy was getting this bottle of Grand Reserve 17 from the rep and me being selfish wanted a pour. The rep felt bad and gave me a pint on the house which was obviously another pour of La Terrible.

Don't really go out much anymore so not many of those memories. Also I have nobody to go out and enjoy a beer with...

That "Pfsst" sound coupled by the glug-glug-glug of a good pour.

5ish years ago - The first time I tasted a beer I brewed myself (an english brown ale - that in all honesty probably was slighlty higher rating then a drain pour) along with two of my buddies that were floored that you can make beer at home. - This spurred a life long hobby / obsession.

Fishing early one morning on a Small lake in Montana with the boys. Extremely hungover so hair of the dog was a cold rainier. Never tasted better and cleared the head right up.

One time in high school, I was shitfaced at a hotel room party and passed out for awhile. When I woke up, I cracked open an ice cold Busch Light.

A nice IPA at the end of every semester (I´m a college teacher too). The first summer beer when warm weather hits Guadalajara. The nicest brew you have in the fridge after a long day at work. Awesome moments :grinning:

Shared a bottle of CBS with two buddies at an excellent beer store. Out on the loading dock area. Never knew beer could be that good, I'm glad I shared it with like-minded guys.
