    Hi all,

I've just finished building my new bar and would like to know if anyone has seen or heard about a pipe/hose/tap extension for a Philips Perfect Draft machine? I don't like to have the big bulky machine on the bar, but instead have it on a shelf below it, and have an external tap installed on the bar top, connected with a pipe... I can't see why it's couldn't be done, but I can find any referenced to it anywhere...

    Any tips welcome.

I'll tackle this one, at least to let you know we are reading these posts.

Judging from the youtube videos I reviewed the Perfect Pour is an ironic name. These poor bastards are suffering with 50% foam. A little sad to be honest.

You cannot easily, or even with modest effort, install a remote faucet on your system.
The Perfect Draft is a 100% proprietary design. The system uses an integrated keg coupler and faucet. It is kind of a neat design actually. They did engineer a solution, but you need to use that specific faucet and it comes attached to the special coupler.

Next, everything must live inside the anemic refrigeration system. Beer will foam if not kept cold. If it gets to room temp it will likely spoil, meaning it will taste awful. So if you were to work around the proprietary coupler/faucet you would need to figure out a way to keep the beer cold from keg to glass. This part is not optional btw.

The Perfect Pour is not really intended to be anything other than a way to get you to buy the proprietary kegs. I suppose people like it but it is a rather poor substitute for a genuine kegerator and only marginally cheaper... after accounting for the price of the limited kegs and available varieties it is not even cheaper.

    Cheers

Welcome to the BA site, bessie_max. Unfortunately it looks like @Big_Yellow hasn't been on the site since that initial post, so it looks likely that you won't hear back about your post. But maybe my tagging of Big_Yellow will get a response.
