So earlier this year I picked up a Perlick refrigerator/kegerator and have it in my garage. I went to get a beer tonight and it’s warm, the fridge seems to have taken a shit at some point today. Are these ridiculous to get fixed and are my kegs going to go bad not being cold??
It’s an expensive unit, but they are serviceable. No worse than a fridge. The beer, that’s another issue.
bang on the t-stat, turn the knob, do what you can to get the compressor to turn on. place a hot towel over the temp probe. if the compressor runs you are in luck, might just need a new t-stat which is pretty easy and cheap to fix. if the compressor is shot open your wallet. you'll need a commercial hvac technician. warm kegs, not good. Good luck.
