This is an awesome stout. Similar to a NB cocoa mole: We have finally made it through our first year! Thank you so much from everyone here at Perennial for all of your love and support as we have made headway into the St. Louis beer community. Our Anniversary Festival was great fun, and we were happy to share our limited releases with those of you in attendance. We have had some really exciting releases lately here at the brewery; IPA #4 has been put on draft in the tasting room. This IPA is a 10.5% Imperial IPA that has huge citrus notes as well as a nice malty backbone, making it an ideal IPA as we are coming into the cold months. Phil has also brewed a new flagship beer, Aria, a Brettanomyces fermented Belgian Ale. We had a cask of this at our anniversary party, will continue to have draft in the tasting room, and will soon be bottling this one! In addition, get excited for the release of the 2012 Abraxas. We have brewed the first couple batches already, and will be releasing it this month, with the 2011 bourbon barrel version being released it January. Thanks again for all the support through our first year and we will see you soon!!! Cheers, Chuck Stockstrom Brewer, Perennial Artisan Ales Upcoming Beers.... Here is what you can expect to see in the upcoming months. Our Fall/Winter Beer Calendar is as follows: November Abraxas Mexican Chocolate Stout 10% ABV 97 Rate Beer
Can't wait. Still sitting on several 2011's as well And I don't think you can even compare this to Cocoa Mole
Blake told me about Abraxas being re-released and a BA version coming out as well. The regular 2011 bottle was a total hit in my stomach! Crossing my fingers that these somehow make their way into my hands again. Feel free to BM me for my address Seriously though, congrats on your recent success. If Abraxas is any indication, the recent praise is well deserved. Cheers, Jeff
I opened one for a few peeps at Darkness Day. The general consensous was it was the best beer any of them had had that day. I seriously hope to get a bottle or 20 of the BA version. However, seeing as the normal is $20/bottle, I can only imagine how pricey the BA version will be.
I found Coco Mole to be complete shite. Abraxas must be better at $20/750ml. Perennial makes really nice beer though its a bit on the ridiculously expensive side. Glad to see them succeeding but hope their prices come down as they grow.

Wherever Chesterfield is at: Perennial Abraxas Kick-Off: Wednesday November 21st 6pm (Chesterfield) What's better than starting "Big Wednesday" with Abraxas on draught? How about 2011 and 2012 Abraxas on draught. That's right, we are Hoarders and we saved a keg from last year just for this occassion. Along with Abraxas we will have Peach Berliner Weiss, Hommel, Peace Offering and a cask of something (TBD).
