Post from today by Perrin. I don't doubt the beer styles or the brands listed, but Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale at #1 is strange, and Perrin ahead of Bell's and Founders is just a straight up lie. How often do you see these types of survey "certifications" and what do you think they mean for the market?

I just look at this, roll my eyes, and move on.

It doesn't mean anything really. Pretty much just marketing for SteadyServ. Presuming it's sales (although it doesn't explicitly mention it), the data is only from accounts using SteadyServ. And even though they mention Midwest, the fine print indicates only 5 of the 12 states they boldly highlight at the top of the sheet. Seems worthless to me except for the breweries listed and SteadyServ. I'd print it out and use it as scrap paper.

Heh, so they managed to spell Weihenstephaner right but couldn't pull it together enough to spell Perrin correctly in the beer column.

Hilarious. This nonsense is everywhere. At the end of a news story, social media, or even a pop up ad. Bell's best beer, Winter White Ale. Larry's probably laughing too. Take it for what it's worth, not much. Still can't believe that Perrin actually posted that, and yes, they posted it.

I'm not gonna speculate on the whole list, but I don't doubt that Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale is #1. That stuff is on draft EVERYWHERE around my parts. Before long, it'll probably be an option at Chipotle.

Is that beer #1 in true craft drinker circles? No.
Is it a beer that BMC drinkers splurge on at TGI Fridays? Yes.

Weird, must be an Ohio thing - I've hardly ever seen it on tap.

Perrin should take no pride in this, and shouldn't try fooling anyone. I really like some of Perrins brews but Gold is pretty much Pisss!! It truly smells and tastes pretty bad. ATTN: Perrin stop making this pissy beer

He's right, this stuff is everywhere in Ohio. Not only draft, but bottles are in every grocery store as well.
