I know but every day we get the same top 10 beer questions. it gets old, what you love, I may hate. why does anyone care what beer I love is? I hate most IPA's, why would any one care? many love them hop bombs, and so I try to refrain from posting anything & EVERYTHING concerning IPA, because I think the American versions are ALMOST all crap.

Heck I had many say they hate wit, hefe's, and Belgians. so again why does anyone post asking other their favorites, simple they drink these beers and they want to brag about it. not my style. I disagree with the BA ranks ALLOT.

I think half of these posts are just locals trying to keep those names out there in BA's minds for some reason, lol.....

every one needs to list there top beers, dessert island beer, and death bed beer on their profile page, and maybe 90% of these point posts would go away.....of course then this forum would be nearly dead.

I think 90% of the traffic is posting pictures like on untapped...its hey look at me I am drinking this beer. its silly.:stuck_out_tongue::grinning::grimacing::rolling_eyes:

The serious topic's get drowned out IMHO.:grimacing:

Lucky no 1 cares what I think, lol

To be honest, I guess I have lightweight written off Lagers... Not trying to snub my nose at Lagerheads.... Of coarse it's totally subjective and that's what makes this fun and worth comparing and contrasting... That said, I haven't really ever been 'Blown Away' by any Lager.
Maybe I shall reconsider my stance as they session well and serve their purpose for refreshing drinking pleasures.

The most notable lagers off the rip are, Great Lakes Oktoberfest, Ayinger Celebrator and yes, Sierra Nevada Summerfest... Which was very satisfying! However, for fun if we were to compare subjective matters... I could put my top 5 Ales against your top give Lagers and DESTROY you in the court of public opinion. At least in America anyway, I respect that Lagers are bigger in certain areas and especially across the pond. Again, totally subjective in the end. I'll have to seek out a few more and make it a point to broaden my lager horizons~

Try some Jack's Abby stuff if you can. Life changing.

Also, I could put Nickelback against your favorite band and Nickelback would destroy your favorite in the court of public opinion. Point being, the court of public opinion is as valuable as shit that's been pissed on.

Cheers to that... I'll make my IPA's Stouts and Sublime and Slightly Stoopid. Haha, there is no point to argue over subjective matters. I will absoulty check some Jack Abby's and keep an open mind. Today I'm drinking Stone 'Enjoy By' and listening to Slightly Stoopid. Its pretty good combo!

Do you get Old Mecklenburg? I know very little about their distribution, I think it's pretty limited. They make some kick ass lagers in my experience as well.

I promise this is my last reply attempting to make you love lagers.

I see that you get Smuttynose out there. If you get the chance, grab a bomber of S'muttonator. It comes out in the winter, so keep an eye open. It's a doppelbock and if you dig a big, malty ale, you'll love this (even though it's a lager). If you can't find it, beermail me and I'll send you one free of charge.

I've only ever had the rum barrel aged, and it got a bit too sweet and sticky.

Hamilton's does an annual event with Ballast Point, this year it looked like this:

    Fleet 1
    Victory at Sea with Mole
    Victory at Sea with Peppermint
Victory at Sea with Maple and Bourbon/Rum Soaked Oak Chips
Victory at Sea Rum Barrel Aged on Nitro
    Victory at Sea Vintage 2012
    Victory at Sea, Firkin (Oak)

    Fleet 2
Victory at Sea, Peanut Butter Cup
Victory at Sea with Toasted Coconut, Cascabel Chili's and Habanero Peppers
Victory at Sea with cocoa nibs, orange peel and ginger
Victory at Sea with Crunch Berries and Lactose (Victory at Cereal)
Victory at Sea Rum Barrel Aged
    Victory at Sea 2013
