Sam Adams, Petes, Saranac, New Amsterdam and (cough) Blue Moon were my craft intro-beers back in the 90's.

There's even an older version, before there was even any more varieties (I think) that had just the name and a picture of a bull terrier. I have a full bottle of it, circa '87 (?), that also just has the dog's head on it. I would post a picture if I could figure it out without using a damned photo service website! It also has a separate "CA Redemption value" sticker on it, indicating it came out roughly the same time that law went into effect.

I took pictures of the bottle on my phone. The label is red with flames and the bottle is dated from September 2004!!

Bottles of Zima sell for over $40 on Ebay as well...definitely doesn't mean the liquid is still good.

Funny, true story from a friend of mine...

It was in the early 90's during the height of Zima's popularity. My friend chose to drink wine coolers and other malternatives, so he drank a lot of Zima. He was in a bar in the Chicago area one night and was getting checked out by a hot girl. She sauntered up to him, he got excited. She looked him in the eye and said "Zima is for *******". Then turned and walked away.

It's the first thing I think of whenever the subject of Zima comes up!

Whatever year Zima came out we were driving from Tx to Riverside Ca. to pick up a boat.
The whole way kept seeing billboards for Zima, it hadnt hit Tx yet.
I had to try one when I got there.. So glad I had that ONE and ONLY ...
    What crap it truly was...

It's worth $0, $.05 or $.10 depending on the state you live in...
