The South Bay is getting some love today. Surprised Phantom Carriage doesn't have its own thread already (aside from the soft open talk a little over a year ago). So why not...

Curious to hear how Amarantha is tasting (today's release), since it wasn't on tap... Going to have to wait until BA's start cracking them open.

With Phantom Carriage & Monkish stepping up their game recently, Torrance, etc. seems like a better trek than DTLA/Arts District right now.

Gotta keep the hidden gems hidden! Glad to see them stepping things up and bottling finally. Phantom Carriage should explode upon the world as soon as more of their beer gets out to people.

Both wind and rain? Shit dawg, this 330ml bottle better be trading for some Apple Brandy Zhukov.

When I left around 1P yesterday, the line was just about done. I think they we're close to selling out at that point.

Bummer, didn't make it yesterday (wedding planning). So was hoping to maybe stop on my way home.

The line wasn't as long as it was for Amarantha. Maybe the weather, but yeah. There were still bottles and no line at 1P.

If the baskerville rumors are true... He's looking more like just some creepy old dude with a long beard right now.

    Ah, growing pains...

Is it supposedly infected? I heard from someone that I should actually sit on the bottle and let the heat come off a little.

Okay, I just saw the other thread. And it's a bummer. But I still stand by the clean beer statement, and specifically anything dry hopped. The Tripel Curse was killer and this weekend's release of Centennial Muis is out of control.

I really liked Fog Island recently. I want to try that centennial muis. Muis just seems like a great base for so many things.

I'm cracking one open tonight, but according to that other thread, it's not even tasting like a stout. We'll see... I want to judge for myself.

After cracking a bottle tonight... This is accurate. Needs time to let the heat mellow. It's sooooo boozy right now.

Had one last night... gushed like crazy, overcarbed, thin, sour, and bitter.

that sucks. mine didn't gush, overcarbed for sure, thin for sure, not really sour or bitter. How many barrels of this stuff did they make? Could there be one that's terrible, and another that's meh? Regardless, there's definitely problems with this beer. Shouldn't have been released IMO.

What a great time today. Never waited more than a couple of minutes. Beers were all great. Got actual FOOD and not finger food with a food ticket. Swag was nice. Vibes were good. Had a blast today

How was the Lugosi? The batch they put out back in August last year was goddamn legendary.

Great event. The had multiple beer stations set up in the parking lot and inside, great guest taps-no wait at all for fresh Bonkers and system of a stout. A few more options for IPAs/pale ales would have been nice considering it was damn hot. There was a 10-15 minute wait at the beginning for extra drink tickets and bottles of strawberry Broadacres and Citra Muis which was delicious by the way. Music was good, food was ok-basically burgers and dogs but it was nice they included it. Overall, a fun time-not at all oversold and at a very good price. We hit Monkish after. Sooooo glad I decided to come instead of the madhouse at LA IPA fest. Looking forward to next year!
