Just throwing Sherlock reference cause of the, you know, name of the beer, since we're getting all these reports that the beer has some questionable quality. Is all

HA. I just watched the latest Cumberbatch episode... I dig him as Sherlock.

Funny... 8 years ago people would still have argued that this "shouldn't happen"
But they may as well embrace it and make sour stouts......

OK... I cracked one tonight. It's super boozy. I let it warm and I think it needed way more time. It's thin and way too boozy. I didn't get many sour notes. I think it was released like 6 months early. I don't think it's infected, just green and sooooo fucking boozy. My bottle wasn't a gusher. It's a little overcarbed for sure. It's a stout, just not a great one... yet? Maybe... I'd let it sit for a few months before trying it again.

The brett baskerville, yes. It's not bad. The brett really dried the beer out

    PC's new description:
"This beer is a one-off imperial Belgian-style stout that we fermented with our aggressive farmhouse strain. As such, the beer finishes very dry and has a lively effervescence. We use this strain with many of our beers. We are dedicated to experimentation and to the expansion of beer beyond traditional style limitations. This factor may not agree the traditional beer enthusiast, but we pride ourselves on it."

I had one that was a gusher, thin and heading towards sour. Will try one more...

My Brett Baskerville was also a sour gusher is there a batch # to indicate which ones might be good?

Did they just slap a "brett" label on the leftover baskerville bottles?

I promise I'm not trying to be controversial, what has PC made that is must try stuff? I've seen Muis and Broadacres on the shelf and haven't reached for them, should I?

Any fruited broadacres is the first thing I shoot for on draft.

Second this. I have been most impressed by the cellar blend beers. Amarantha and Raspberry Bergman have also been good, but not on the same level. Rathbone is being released to bottles soon as well.

Drinking a Raspberry Bergman right now and it is AMAZING! Easily my favorite Phantom beer to date.

I really loved Broadacres with Peaches. Cellar Blend #1 was ridiculously good.

Yeah the fruited broadacres variants have been pretty good. The strawberry one was super refreshing. Peaches & Nectarines might still be my favorite
