Phantom Carriage soft opening

Damn those guest beer prices look $$$$. 6 for an 8oz pour of El Dorado! A proper pour is around 7 at BWSB. But PC is a really nice joint to hangout.

 

Rathbone is a sour dark ale. Was good when I visited.

Looks like they have five beers on now if untapped is any indication - Muis, Cushing (like this one), Rathbone, Ambler, and Leapwood. The latter two appear to be farmhouse ales.

 

I'm not sure if why would anyone want to drink the guest beers here. Anyway Cushing & Rathbone were awesome. Ambler tasted just like a spiced hefeweizen.

 

I'm sure they have guest beers for a reason. Most brewery's don't offer guest beers. I know they do sours and wild ales and other specialties. I'm not into those, yet. Maybe never? But when I went a few weeks back I did try all 4 they had on the board. I thought 2 were okay and the other 2 not. So I was able to enjoy an ipa that they had on. I will be going back to try some new releases as they tap. So maybe not all people like sours/wild ales, like not everybody likes ipa's. I like to visit most new brewery's. And most of them I do not go back or will give them a second try later. I am saying it's nice to see a new brewery that also serves guest beers.

 

What the?? Cushing wasn't available when I was there!! Now I'm sad..
