My friend & I are record collectors, and we have an on-going joke.

We'll start assessing the rarity & "wow factor" of owning various albums, and whenever one of us asks "How's the actual music?" the other immediately retorts "It was NEVER about the music!!!"

Record collecting & beer collecting have a lot in common...including a lot of socially inept white guys at every event!

They do plan to rotate locations for future stout variants. Could be Binnys/Beer Temple next time.

I got to Warehouse at 12:10 and they still had a case and a half left. I heard Fischmans ran out around 11:50.

It sounds like Crafted was the biggest group letting the secret drop slip.

Honestly I don't mind how Phase Three did this. It's equitable to their retail partners, they spread it out fairly decently geographically and most people had the same chance of getting a bottle.

Unfortunately I will probably never have any of their stouts if this is the plan going forward. Naperville only has one shop on their list of retailers and I highly doubt he gets the nod on a big bottle release. Everything else is over 20 minutes away and with about a 5 minute window to get to any of these bottle shops in the area, it would require me to just sit at a store for 6 hours a day waiting to see if it drops.

We're referring to them as "the Shaun/Evan" now? Just want to make sure.

I actually wasn't too bad, probably mostly just around a 4...while dipping into 3 at times. Perhaps the funniest thing of all is that my wife made me go to a brewery yesterday. I did that to remain in good standing as husband/father...the things I do to keep the peace in our house!!!

Before we start taking the advice of eunuchs, shall I remind you what happened to Lord Varys shortly after he said that?

    Well damn, now I'm mad I didn't grab a bottle. That's a ludicrous trade.

Spin Zone: this guy probably has a Curvature and is just driving up the secondary value by offering countless trade after trade for it. Stay woke.

Problem is everyone is laughing at him. Realistically I'd be concerned he was just going to jump me when I met up with him and steal my bottle.

This could be one of the the most annoying, whiniest, bitchiest posts in this thread so far. No one “made” you do a fucking thing. Apparently you “SpendTooMuchOnBeer” so it’s a good thing you’re “way out.” Later homes.

This question may be way out line here, but has anyone tried Curvature yet? How does it compare to the other stouts he has made?

You misunderstand the purpose of this beer! It exists to tuck away in your collection, until the collab that Shaun made with Side Project is released. At that point, Thanos will appear and cuvée those 2, BA Karma, Coconut City, Me-he-coco and the last remaining growler of Hops on Hops to immediately render half of all neck beards diabetic and lactose intolerant.

Seems weird that 2 of the Infinity Beers would feature coconut. I would think you need Smore Luv for added hype and sugar.

It's pretty good. It'd be my second or third favorite henna. It's not as good as either of the More stouts that were at mikerphone's fest.

Yeah I just moved to the Naperville area and it’s a craft beer desert out here. I miss being down the street from fischmans and beer on the wall haha.
Any tips feel free to send me a PM. It sounds like JP is the only game in town for Phase Three and Hop Butcher unless I’m willing to drive 25-30 minutes. So any big release is a dice roll unless your in the right spot at the right time.

I'm in McHenry, closest store for the drop was Oak Trail. I saw the tweet when it was about three minutes old. Oak Trail is a 35 minute drive for me. Got there in 31 minutes, was at the end of the line at the back of the store. Took about 15 minutes to get my bottle when they said those in line will get a bottle but that was it.
So it seems 50 minutes was the window to score at Oak Trail.
A group of 4 grandmules walked in as I was walking out asking, where is the Curvature...you mean we have to get in line for a beer? I didn't wait around to hear them complain that they were too late.
