The saddest part to this story is that those grandmules’ asshole sons/grandsons probably didn’t even get them a Mother’s Day card the week prior.

 

For sure. I think it was in Goose Island's Instagram page but someone, inquiring about special tappings, had asked them on a saturday during ICBW if they had any big plans for the next day which happened to be Mother's Day. Their response "idk, probably call our moms". Perspective people!!

 

Malloy's in naperville gets pretty much everything

 

Unfortunately if BeerDes is out in deep Naperville, Malloy’s is a good 25-30 minute drive.

 

This whole argument is a Moot Point. Malloy's is NOT, I repeat NOT on the Phase 3 distro list.

So while Malloy's may get "Pretty Much Everything", they do not in fact get Phase 3.

Trying to drink these last couple Protocols. Hopefully they shelve this one.

Man, I thought protocol was amazing. I loved how weird / earthy it tasted. Kind of reminded me of how Heady Topper is a weird IPA, but amazing. Anybody else love Protocol??

 

I only had it on draft at Crafted when it was super fresh and thought it was great. Loved the hop bite. Have not had from cans so can't speak to that.

 

I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it. I'd drink it again, but probably never buy it again. It was definitely unique though.

 

Protocol was amazing fresh. Fell off really quick though, my cans tasted shitty after two weeks.

 

They have the worst packaging, every beer looks the same. I bet they are saving money at least by not paying an artist or designer.

 

I kinda like the style, and I think it's cool the way they have the subtle differences towards the top of the can, BUT I will say that it's hard for me to distinguish between P3 beers at a glance, so in that sense I definitely agree.

 

Yeah I know when I'm looking at a shelf full of Phase 3 beers its hard for me to figure out which of the several choices are the ones I want.
