This evolved into a distributor discussion, but I'm pretty sure Phase Three still self-distributes at this time.

I’m realizing I actually prefer the maple over vanilla tonight. Vanilla is quite overpowering (still good though). I’d love to have just the coffee version without additional adjuncts. That’s always been my main problem with Shaun. I wish he would release a base stout/porter, before adding adjuncts.

You should go by OP Binnys. Plenty there as of 30 min ago.

Also, big ass stack of Weller SR at the counter. $27.99 one per

Yeah, Mehndi is about the only one I can recall, and that's BA of course. Still, if your adjunct stouts are that good, I'm not going to complain too much. Pressed is as good as most coffee stouts out there, and Imperial Falling Colors was out of this world good.

    Question to all...

Had the Pressed Maple when it was released and tonight I am drinking the Pressed Vanilla. They taste like the exact same beer to me.

Anyone else have the same experience? Where is all the vanilla at? I get maybe a hint of vanilla, but I tasted a hint of vanilla in the Pressed Maple variant. So is this the exact same beer with a different name & can color?

I did not read the fine print of this beer release (but I am going go do that now...) and all the label says is coffee + vanilla without any mention of maple as an adjunct. I was expecting no maple at all, but I definitely taste alot of maple in the Pressed Vanilla. I did read that the beer was to taste like a "vanilla frappuccino" which it is far from that... I would believe a maple frappuccino with a hint of vanilla.

Drank both the Pressed Maple and Pressed Vanilla on a fresh palate both nights I drank them. Also used the exact same beer glass. I make sure my beer glasses are spotless clean before I drink out of them as well. Both Pressed beers were pulled straight from the same fridge, poured and served at the exact same temperature.

Would like to hear everyone's tasting notes just out of curiosity. I am slightly mind blown here. Could it just be that the vanilla is really whimpy in this beer & maple was already in the beer as an adjunct yet they did not put it on the label?

Pressed Vanilla tastes different than the maple version, in my opinion. Although obviously similar, the vanilla is much more prevalent for me in the new one.

I didn't have the maple one, only the vanilla, but I'm with you on the flavor profile of vanilla. I kept checking the can because I got significant maple notes from it and really not that much vanilla.

It was a very enjoyable beer regardless but I was just surprised there was no maple.

Glad I wasn't 0/2 on P3 beers this weekend because the autumn ale was just bad.

Your experience is interesting. When I had the latest Pressed, the vanilla and coffee were both screaming out of my glass on every sip.

Same. Split one with my wife last night. We thought it was an excellent beer. Neither of us love heavy maple in our beers, and neither mentioned that flavor. Definitely had a roastiness to it, but wasn't overpowering. For the good of the order, I did not have Pressed Maple.

This was my experience. I liked the vanilla one better of the two. And usually coffee/maple stouts are my go to.

Yeah, I got all coffee/vanilla from the new Pressed as well. However, as I mentioned above, I did find it very sweet. So I could see how some people could get maple-like sweetness from it.

After I finished my second can Saturday night, I found it a bit harder to put down that Maple was. The flavors just became super in-your-face as it warmed. I still enjoyed it, would just prefer the adjuncts a bit more subtle. I'm going to sit on my two other cans for a month or so in hopes it balances out better.

Palates can just be strange. Back when 18th Street was a thing, I thought Hunter Vanilla tasted more like a coffee stout than Hunter Coffee did. Much roastier.

No release this week? Any chance the BA stout for Fobab is about to be packaged for this weekend?

I'd be surprised -- it would only have spent about six months in the barrel and likely isn't something Shaun would want to share beyond a fest. But I'd be happy to be wrong!

No BA stuff, next week is a Brambleberry Chantilly and a Mosaic/Vic Secret hazy.

You may be right. The original gold medal winning Karma from Year 1 at More was on a similar timeframe right? Of course, they packaged much later.
