Phase Three Brewing (2019)

I really hope you're not actually from Missouri and signed up for this.

 

I'm surprised there isn't more talk about the Ambassadors sign up. Sure, there really isn't much to say about it since it's a signup that we're all waiting for, but that hasn't stopped us before!

I thought doing it first come first served wasn't the best idea, as it just creates a chase to sign up and being lucky to have seen the post quickly. That being said, I was lucky enough to see it and sign up within about 5 minutes, so fingers crossed.

Yeah, I like it a lot. That said, its just a scary waiting game now for something that is inevitably going to be a very cool thing to have if you get it. I was about 20 minutes after. Hard to say, given how tech savvy and crazy beer people are, whether that was fast enough. Hoping for some christmas luck since it was at a time when people likely were busy and didnt see it.

 

I mean technically, Missouri already is...

 

Probably needed to sign up real quick based on how many people probably have push notifications for anything phase 3 posts, unless the $300 scared some off. I signed up after 15 min and am not expecting to make the cut. Big fan of the "if we see you selling our beer we cut you" portion.

 

I saw the post pretty earlier on and signed up within the first 20 minutes so hoping that was quick enough. Especially with it being on a Saturday evening, maybe it took people a lot longer to sign up with holiday weekend plans.

I am guessing it will be between 200 and 300 members. $300 a membership would give P3 a quick 60-90k which if they are looking for help to finance the barrel program and opening a taproom this would be a great start.

I like this membership idea. I know Viking Artisian Ales went the same route to help them get the brewery off the ground.

Also any rumors of where they are planning on opening the tap room? I am hoping not in Lake Zurich haha

 

What if they just accept everyone who applies? Why turn away business? "Looks like we'll need to buy a few more barrels...."

 

That's how I felt about the BCDB lottery -- they have the bottles, just sell 'em all!

 

I saw it way too late and look forward to narcing on every sale I see to move up the list.

 

We need more people to tell us when they signed up and if they are crossing their fingers

 

Also when I first saw the ambassador post I thought it was P3 hiring beer sales reps, maybe that threw some people off before reading all the details

I was so sad to see I didn't win tickets to Prop Day Phase Three's Ambassador Program. You see, Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout Phase Three Curvature is my favorite beer and it would be heart breaking for me to miss out on this opportunity to enjoy your brand at the Fulton Lake Zurich Brewery as I don't drink anyone elses beer but Goose Islands Phase Threes.

I fully anticipate not getting an invite, but these days it's not like there is any shortage of good beer.

 

Only being able to pickup your bottles 10-7pm on Monday and Wednesdays and 12-5pm every other Saturday is not the most convenient..

 

Good thing they're letting us know this now rather than after we pay!

 

Quite true. It's almost as if someone who doesn't think they can consistently make the stated time-frames at the stated location ... should probably not sign up for this?

 

And that included some hold times of 2 weeks...which mean a one day window for those not able to come mid-week.

 

That was for publicly released bottles/cans. The Ambassador-exclusive bottles have a 4 week hold. That still isn't great, but at least opens a couple windows.

The pickup windows are probably the roughest aspect for me. I know of other brewery memberships that typically allow a 90 day window, but with P3 not having their own facility, it probably makes it tough for them to offer much.

 

That's why I'm not signing up....
