I can't be mad, I'd sign up for the side project membership in a nanosecond

The problem with this membership is that the only way to make it worth the 50 mile drive is to resell the bottles.

But then she'll get blacklisted when they find out she's selling their beer.

Are you kidding? A quiet, peaceful drive there and back without the wife telling me what I've done wrong or the kids fighting with each other? I may do it even if I don't get in the membership.

What do you guys think about the cost? I assume that will curtail the number of people willing to purchase the membership.

Assuming they are all bombers or 750s, it’s 17.64 a bottle, which seems fair. Especially when you consider you don’t have to hunt for them, they’ll just be sitting there waiting for you.

9 bottles of beer for $300 comes out to $33.33, doesn't it??? The first right to order other public releases is another benefit as well (i.e. can I essentially lock down a bottle of non-BA Curvature each time w/o worrying about lining up/getting lucky?). It's a bit pricey, but this guy makes the best stouts in the area and he BA stouts tend to be fantastic as well. Based on secondary / trade value, it's a no brainer to me...even if I end up drinking just about all of them.

That and potential first dibs to festivals and events hosted by them make it worth the cost.

Several CA breweries have memberships, and the 300-350 range is pretty common. For example, modern times is $350 for 10 bottles, some merch, a bar credit, and early access to sales. Think they offered around 1500 memberships at the price and it was sold out in like a minute

hmm, offering half price memberships to a select few doesn't strike me as as an honest practice

He clearly misunderstood the P3 post. 17/300 comes out to that. But it is two of four releases for 8 BA bottles, and a curvature. For 9 bottles. Not 2 of 8 BA releases and a Curvature.
Even without the other benefits $33 a bottle for Shaun's stouts seems like a bargain, not having to go waste time standing in a line, and a guarantee of one to drink and one to trade if desired... I signed up with no hesitation.

I did misread that! Hmmm 33 a bottle is a little more on the high side, though a limited barrel-aged 750 is certainly not terrible at that price.

$33 per bottle is the (probably) $25 cost + $8 convenience fee for no lines, no chasing. Worth it imo.

I’d say more likely to be a beer named the ex-ambassadors. Or is that a mikerphone thing. Since it’s music related. The Chicago beer scene has me all fucked up now
