I'm not sure we should be attaching a $25 price tag to these...it probably should be higher considering the non-BA Curvature are $25.

Wow the regular Curvatures are $25?? I mean, they sell obviously, but man that's nuts for a non-BA stout.

In today's market, I don't think it is. You can name quite a few places selling $25+ non-BA stouts (Surly, Topping Goliath, 3 Floyds, Modern Times, etc.). Granted, there are still a TON of options at a lower price point, but $25 isn't that egregious in the marketplace. That may obviously not be in line with some consumers' preferences or expectations (and the market may or may not be built to have those prices be sustainable), but right now it's not really crazy.

I think Modern Times offers a superb membership program in terms of quality, value, and their ability to offer other member perks beyond what you already mentioned such as exclusive growler fills, proxy pickups, and a track record of high quality member events. If I lived near one of their locations it would be a no brainer - with relatively frequent trips to Portland and CA I've still been very tempted the past couple years.

The Ambassador program doesn't really come close to that value in my opinion, but I think the gamble is that it will grow over time and the people who get in now will retain their spot and be happy they got in early.

If we ever had to nationalize beer in the US, my vote would be to have it run by Modern Times....

Agreed that Modern Times is an amazing membership (I’ve been a League member for 2 years), my point was simply that the price point is roughly on par with other brewery memberships.

The ambassador membership post I saw was on Facebook at 730 pm Friday evening. I assume it was posted cross platform (Instagram etc) at the same time? I signed up about 750 pm Friday evening so fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone....

curvature is $19.99 plus local tax, if you are getting charged more than that contact phase three.

The P3 Ambassador program is first come first served, not most helpful..

Came late to the sign up party on P3 ambassador. It is now closed on the website as well. Haven't received an email so guessing I'm out.

Depending on the retailer, you are going to see different price points, just like with Bourbon County. Binny's Schaumburg was $21.99 for reference.

Either way - I think $25 is quite a bit higher than the normal range

$25 all in at Warehouse (for b3 at least). You can contact Phase Three, but pretty sure that's legit as they seemingly have a very good relationship with them.

Oh, you are absolutely correct. Let's be honest; the price point is nowhere near just about anything else from our area. These barrel aged beers at $33 per bottle are literally going to be more expensive than Mikerphone's BA beers, which are the most expensive from the area as far as I know. That is why I just cannot justify the membership for myself. However, based on the quality and track record of producing amazing stouts, my guess is that P3 will have no issue selling them.

Prices have been decreasing on stouts from just about every brewery over the past two years. If a few breweries want to go the other direction, I'm glad it is the minority

If you're looking purely at the 9 bottles, sure, it seems like a steep price. But you're also getting first right to preorder other releases and their events through 2020. After all this, I think it's pretty fair, especially the lengths you have to go to now to get their stouts.

To also compare, I joined Barclay Brewing's (Brian Barclay) membership program. That one's $350 for 10 BA bombers, glass, t-shirt and right to purchase additional BA bottles at release event. Still happy to pay this price to help support an up-and-coming brewer. If you don't know about him, look him up. Good pals with Shaun.
