Phase Three Brewing (2020)

Is this 20 Questions? If you want to play coy I’d say it’s most likely what they’re pouring at a fest this weekend- Curvature Neapolitan and Curvature Maple Coffee.

 

Is it bigger than a bread box?

 

Ok b4 is thick and has alot of maple on the nose and is my favorite of the 4 released so far. Sweet and the cinnamon comes out as it warms but not overpowering.

 

If one is going just for bottle pickup, should one expect a line?

 

no line for bottle pick up right now. Maybe like 10 people in line for pours

 

According to the book face group, B2, B4, and abstract technicality are what’s being poured

 

B4>>>>>B2...imo

 

B4 Is a fair amount thicker than B2 and the added adjuncts are well balanced. Not an overpowering amount of cinnamon for those that aren’t cinnamon fans. Very fast and very chill experience. I hope they keep it like this.

 

Plenty of Buffalo Trace barrels there....

 

B5 (s’mores) was poured today. Tastes great

 

I really enjoyed the release today. Got my bottle in 3 mins. Got a pour of B2 and B4 for $5 each, and I got to chat a bit with Shaun and he poured me a B5: Smores.
They are renovating the taproom (thankfully) but had a nice setup in the back brewery. Hadn't been back there since the Black Belt Brewing days. Shaun also mentioned Pressed Hazelnut is going out on Wednesday.

 

Elijah Craig 10s, Baby Saz, lots of BT, color me intrigued. Of course, won't get a shot at all of them since a plebian and non-Ambassador.

 

Wife and I were at phase 3 tonight in Lake Zurich. Ended up taking to Shaun for an hour and a half, just the 3 of us...stayed an hour past close. Batch 4 and 5 Curvature are wonderful. Batch 2 has really changed as well. Really cool experience. Down to earth and simply passionate about his craft. Excited for his future in this realm....

 

What time is today's Curvature pickup window? My email when I bought it does not say and I cant even find their regular hours on social media. Would like to get there as early as possible. Thanks.

 

Pickup is 12-8pm today. The snow is supposed to start around 11am in this area, so be safe.

 

An hour and a half after close? Jeez let the guy go home.

 

Anything you need to show when picking up? I've got the confirmation email, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything else before making the drive. Feel free to PM if you'd like.
