Yeah, happy you guys convinced me to get terrazzo. Very different beast than Creme, but I’d argue that terrazzo is a more well-crafted beer (I know that is unquantifiable, and that it’s dumb to compare across styles, but whatever). I will say, I don’t understand the Pliny the Elder references. It’s been a couple months since I’ve had fresh Pliny on tap or in bottle, but I’m always struck by how malty Pliny is in today’s IPA scene. What makes Pliny special to me is how it balances big, resin/citrus hops against a strong malt backbone to create a balanced, bold beer. Terrazzo strikes me as a much hoppier experience.

ps - I’m open to being wrong. Feel free to swing by with some PtE and we’ll do a side-by-side.

Ok soooo just did a side by side of Pliny ( bottled 5/20) and Terrazzo w @flat_lander and 2 other friends and I will preface this with we started off with Pliney for President which was awesome. The consensus was Pliny beat out Terrazzo. The Terrazzo was a little sweeter and had a more malty profile and Pliny was more balanced. If you can get your hands on Pliny great but if not Terrazzo is a suitable replacement and since this is the first batch of Terrazzo Im hoping in time they can dial it in a little more ( unless they were going for a sweeter version) and make this a staple of their line-up. On another note this batch of Nectar was top notch all the way around.

I got one left. My driveway is always open. We can scare the neighborhood kids who like to stare.

What @Jinx989 said. Pretty nice little Sunday. Always good to see you sir! Only thing I'll add is that Pliny was also lighter in color.

You know what was nice outside of the obvious today? Not drinking one hazy beer. I need to do more of that. We probably all need to do more of that.

I'm finishing up a DDH Double Space Boots right now. Can we still be friends?

I’ll add to the Terrazzo fan club. Had a can last night and while I’d not say it’s a Pliny knockoff, it’s obviously got some similarities and is a very nice beer in its own right. Perhaps the best hoppy beer P3 has made.

On the other hand, I had the new Creme and it was a bit too harsh. Perhaps it needs a couple weeks to mellow out some.

I only have three left in the fridge; definitely grabbing another 4 pack. So balanced and crushable west coast style.

How exactly does P3s online ordering work? Telling me I have to pick up by 6/6 and I don't have a time machine.

Drive-Thru. Go whatever time you want (12pm-5pm I believe) just have your order number ready.

I see it got updated. Earlier it was locked to a 6/6 date for pickup which left me scratching my head.

I had my second Terrazzo tonight but with a fresh palate this time (Sorry, Saturday). I don’t quite get the Pliny comp other than maybe the Simcoe? It’s actually very bitter and perhaps much more so than Pliny. Maybe this is my own bias from seeing Centennial, but it probably reminded me more of Two Hearted than Pliny. But in any case, it’s a really good west coast DIPA that’s better than it’s Untappd rating. Phase Three is becoming fully realized with the regular lagers, post-fermented Berliners, and the west coasters to complement the haze. Oh...and we have weekend patio drinking coming in a week or so along with the taproom opening in mid-August

No official announcement yet, just a teaser post on Shaun's instagram page. Maybe someone on here has inside info though?

The Beer and Now in Lisle just started carrying P3. They let you order individual cans, so you can build mixed packs and try everything. https://t.co/9aA4xXuEE6?amp=1

They've only been open about a month with mostly curbside pick up. They started draft beer sales last week. The owners are pretty cool. Definitely check it out!

Damn, was just out that way yesterday. Anyone know if there's anywhere in the city that sells single P3 cans?
