Phase Three Brewing (2020)

I generally agree on PB though I think Riverlands did it right with Orbital Velocity last weekend. Never had a PB BA beer though...

 

I enjoyed this last batch of Cuppa Peanut Butter and HB Fat Bear. Heard the Riverlands is similar to those.

I've had the Hidden Springs DB Fluffernutter which is a BA with basically the same adjuncts as this Eunoia. If Eunoia is in any comparison to that I will be pleased.

 

I’m with ya. For me they all seem to have that almost artificial peanut flour taste even if brewed with actual peanut butter. I can’t get over it. Helps with the FOMO when I see peanut butter in a release.

 

I've felt the same 'meh' about PB stouts until I had a TraXXX Night Fury from Witch's Hat. That beer is fantastic. So is this P3 beer seeing distro, or Ambassador only?

 

Ambassador only. Bottles on-site at some point in the future.

 

Us plebes could buy the barrel staves though!

None of the BA beers this year will see distro - they're all supposed to be Ambassador only. But there will be bottles on-site for non-Ambassadors to drink in house (or "just outside the house", in pandemic times).

 

Any word on the other 2 beers?

Im not sure this is true, as he said a few months ago that less than half of the barrels they had are for member only beers in an Instagram post. I don’t have any insider info or anything like that, I just haven’t seen anything that suggests otherwise

I thought the membership signup referred to all their BA beers going through that, but maybe I misunderstood. At this point, I’d be surprised if anything goes to distro this year since we’re halfway through the year and this is the first BA release, and there are still 3 more members only BA beers.

 

You have to assume a good chunk of their barrels are for 2021 releases, not 2020.

 

I'd have to agree. In this IG post that was referencing filling casks he states that 4 public releases are accounted for in the next 18 months.

To answer the original question, the first Eunoia beer is ambassador only. Shaun made that very clear in an Instagram post.
