You usually soak the lady fingers in orange liqueur.

I have eaten enough tiramisu in my lifetime to fill a bath tub. Not just a normal bath tub either, like one of those big fancy whirlpool bath tubs with all the bubble jets. Still, I have never once eaten tiramisu that had orange liqueur or any other orange flavor. Most places I have been, they soak the lady fingers in espresso and possibly some rum or brandy if they're feeling frisky.

There are some online recipes that use Grand Marnier though.

The last two Eunoia's have been incredible.

The toasted coconut Eunoia was a better vanilla stout than Vanilla Rye (Goose Island) and Marshmallow Handjee (3 Floyds)...while not actually being a vanilla stout. A truly remarkable example of the brewer's art.

Even more impressive to me (due to my bias) is the most recent batch, which had Vermont maple syrup and (ACTUAL) Madagascar Vanilla bean; I'm typically apprehensive with maple, as a little goes a long way, but this made me forget about that legendary 2012 Founders CBS and just straight up claimed the title of the best "breakfast" stout I've ever had.

Can't wait to see what's to come this year from Phase Three's barrel program!

It would be nice if they made more of their BA stuff available to nonmember little guys like myself. I know they have some for onsite consumption from time to time on random days but it’s a trek getting there from the south side.

Stopped in yesterday to pick up Pressed and the new Triple IPA. I tried the following on draft:

    1. DDH Low Ceilings. Excellent, they continue to knock these out of the park. I never have to feel like I am taking a chance on a four pack.

    2. Curvature batch 6. Not a fan. The typical amazing mouthful from P3 is there but the flavors did not work for me. I am not a caramel guy I guess.

    3. Chromatic Obessession. May be one of the best red/amber ales I have ever had.

I had a can of To The Max at home and it was excellent. 10% abv is completely unnoticeable. Very smooth and hops worked well.

Even for a Monday, this place is so popular. Good for them.

Revisited DDH Low Ceilings tonight and I’m still getting a weird, sweet almost Sabro-like flavor that I’m not digging. I’ll be gifting these last 2 cans. First one I haven’t liked in a while.

I had zero expectations of Lulz, other than laughs of course, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not too sweet and not overly thick. Really easy to drink.

How's Tiramisu? It's the first Pressed to make it down here since we started getting P3 a few months ago. Nice surprise on the Friday post work stop.

Thought it was very tasty, but too carbinated. I don’t drink enough seltzer’s, so I don’t know if that’s par for the course.

I thought it was good, but not great. Get a ton of the coffee roast, and to me tugboat tastes mostly burnt. If they used a better roaster, this would be phenomenal.

I got a 16oz crowler fill of Chromatic Obsession, an amber ale brewed with brown sugar. I believe this is from the batch they released in October, but since it's been sitting in a keg (and it's not a hop forward style) I wasn't concerned that it was probably a few months old.

I bet this was a BANGER for those that had it in the fall; autumn leaves, mild caramel & hints of raspberry in the nose and flavor. I could practically see a campfire in the distance.

While it was a bit out of place during our current arctic conditions, I appreciated it taking my mind off the tundra. I hope Phase Three brings it back next fall, as I'd love to experience it in its natural habitat.

Half way through one. This is a spot on assessment.

I'd like to send general good vibes to Phase Three for having dates on their cans.

I only say this because initially, when Lake Zurich Brewing still owned the space, there were no dates.

This change happened a while ago, but I'm not sure it was ever acknowledged on Beer Advocate. Anytime a brewery starts dating their cans/bottles/whatever, an angel gets its wings.

    Huzzah!!

I'll third this. Needed a little more cream to really evoke tiramisu. The coffee was heavy and a touch burnt. Silky smooth as all Pressed are though.

Cracked DDH Low Ceilings yesterday and that beer is drinking fantastically (think it's 3 weeks after release?). To the Max was solid too.

Well shit. I guess I don’t like their new batch of hand-selected Citra they’re so excited about. I commented earlier about the Sabro-like coconut flavors I was getting with DDH Low Ceilings. Same thing now with the DDH Pixel Density, Tonal Range and reg Pixel Density. Good in the front and middle but all I’m getting is coconut on the back end. I’m selfishly hoping they didn’t buy a years worth of this lot. Anyone else or am I the only one getting so much coconut? Or do I have the Rona? Hmm

I'm not getting any coconut, it's tasting pretty tasty to me. No Rona here.

Phase Three is dropping a collab with Goose Island. Considering InBev doesn’t “collab” with anyone besides already owned properties, is P3 flirting with selling out to InBev?
